I was at the Porsche Sportscar Togetherfest last weekend and talked to the Porsche Classic guys about it. They had a display with the 996 version and the single DIN. I asked about the 997 version and they said "It's still in testing" and when asked when would it be out, it was "TBD". So I felt like it wouldn't be super soon.

You would think release would be sooner rather than later since there is a part number and user manual

They canceled my order today and refunded my money

This is to confirm that order #1xxxxx has been canceled, and a refund of $1,429.10 has been processed. It may take 2-5 business days for the refund to reflect on your billing statement.

We appreciate your business, and hope you will shop with us again!

This thing is way too far long to be in “testing.”

I agree. But they stuck by it was still in testing...

I loved the single Din for older Porsches. But no love for us Android users. Just Apple.

Maybe a cover for supply chain issues? My wife just got her new 2022 Macan -- missing the electronic steering wheel adjustment as all of them are now. There was another Macan in the showroom with a "Sold" sign on the dash *directly under* a "Not Sold" sign. I asked the salesman what that was all about. He told me the car was built and shipped (intentionally) missing its Bose system, and the dealership cannot allow it to be delivered until the Bose equipment shows up and gets installed locally. Kind of like a subscription Lego kit.

Was there an official announcement, or is this just word of mouth? Between the picture of the actual unit posted @Guyom and more chatter that this is coming, I'm hopeful that we're in the home stretch. Would love to buy this to install as a winter project, if not sooner.
