Been chasing some driveability issues since I got the car in October. No codes or CEL. Replaced the MAF as I thought it got better when unplugged, Didn't work. Cleaned the throttle body and noticed the gasket was leaking. Replaced the gasket along with the TB clean. A bit better on the hesitation/stumble, but still there. Did a boost leak test even though I was pulling full boost. noticed a leak by the F-pipe and diverters. Turns out the aftermarket diverters (look like EVOMS) have a threaded inlet port that was loose. Tightened those up, but still some minor leaking at the bigger f pipe connection to y pipe. Changed from the spring clamp to a screw clamp and the leaks are essentially gone. Driveability is now as expected. I think the boost leak test will become one of my first diagnostics going forward.

Nice job, so many vulnerable locations. I'm guessing some of these cars may have had boost leaks from the factory. Many will zip tie just about every hose in the engine bay that doesn't have a clamp.
In the background the famous Frauenkirche ... Car was in front of our Hotel during check out... was early in the morning, otherwise you wouldn't be able to access the place which is normally crowded with thousands of tourists.
One of the rare shots you don't have a chance for often in life
Been a driving my RWD converted car a lot lately. Probably because I'm getting old but I don't see the need for more power. In spirited driving it's gets squirrelly very easily. Any more power and it would be dangerous.
The tiptronic feels well balanced. But I've never thought to myself, this needs more power.
Here 98% of the cars are family cars. The few exotics almost no one drives them hard for fear of repair bills and jail time.
The precious few times anyone stepped to me there was no contest.
I haven't tracked any of my 996tts but one guy who did said a stock 996tt tiptronic dominated the last time he saw one on the track.
Then when you consider the hit to resale when cars are modified, it hardly makes much sense anymore. Back in the day, big turbos, exhaust and brakes meant something. Nowadays cars are so well sorted the performance gains for real world driving are marginal and not cost effective.
That's my 2¥ sitting bored at my desk. Wishing I drove to work but knowing sitting in traffic is no bueno.
