Only downside is that the 980s will have to wait another year before finding themselves on the 996.

Absolute highway robbery here with snow removal, just could not let that continue.

Finally got in all the parts to install the BBI slave conversion this weekend, just need to get the Dot 4 brake fluid thinking motul RBF-600 after I flush it with cheap DOT 4
Also have to replace the passenger side axle seal on the transmission, maybe..... Could just be the dumb slave leaking
  • soft line to slave, clutch master, clutch spring, and the BBI slave

Just discovered that new toy is hemorrhaging hydraulic fluid...

First mark against ROI.

Oh, no! I hope it’s something minor.

Definitely, a lot of parts are NLA but there's a good community for getting spares. I got a bunch of stuff from PO as part of the deal, he was a bit of a parts hoarder. The joys of rare 30yo cars!

Agreed, and as it weighs 12k lbs, difficult for me to lift - possibly an excuse to get a big lift...

Could always trade me those 980s for my K24 hybrids. Then have no issues with needed to wait for the upgrade. It could be a win win!

VW/Audi does a terrible job of supporting its legacy products. I had almost a complete corrado in parts in my basement. I don't ever want to have to be the parts department again

I wouldn't bother with Motul 600. The clutch slave does not see any heat, and the Motul RBF's are particularly hygroscopic needing to be flushed often. Just use ATE 200 and flush it every 2 years.
