These are fairly easy cars to work on. if you ever need a hand let me know. I have had mine about 2 months now and have already done the oil, pulled the rear bumper off for exhaust install, sent the ECU out for tune, wired in the front/rear dash cam, replaced the fuel filter and MAF, and pulled the front bumper to assess radiators.

Why would you ever physically send your ECU out for a tune? Pretty much all the tuners use an OBD2 flash tuner now, you can just tune the car at home. Then revert it to stock whenever you want etc. I'd be very disinterested in sending my ECU out now, just isn't necessary

@JBehba I think you should sell me your SY X50 so that you don't have to deal with such menial tasks ever again. PM me your wiring instructions, DME report, paint gauge photos, and I'll have the cash there tomorrow.

Thanks, will do! Yes, most jobs seem reasonable as long as you have the tools, patience, the RL community and YouTube! Next up will be GT3 rear sway bar and adjustable drop links.
And congrats on the new to you Turbo - we'll have to meet up some time!

Haha, exactly my thought while waiting for the oil to drain... should probably just sell it

Did the radiator bracket trimming mod. Definitely gives some extra clearance. When I swap in aluminum radiators I will try to shift the brackets a little further forward.
Need to flush brake fluid and get tires mounted on the new track wheels in preparation for a weekend at spring mountain next weekend.

Owning a stock turbo with K16 turbos and 420 HP

Do you know someone got the files of the 450 HP WLS files?

Not sure what you're asking? If you have a stock K16 car, there are multiple tuners who you can buy their tune and a flash loader from them. That way you can swap tunes as you please at home, no need to remove your ECU and send it to them.

Installed a set of k24 turbos. Also did new spark plugs since they were right in front of me and had 10,000 miles on them. Still need to install the 5 bar fpr, check for boost leaks and then get a tune.

Nice. What's a reasonable # of hours to swap in new turbos, including leak checks, assuming lift and proper tools?

I started at 8am and was turning the key at 3:30pm. I don't have the rear bumper cover on tho, but realistically to put that and the tail lights on is maybe 15 minutes.

I own a KESS Programmer myself and I'm not so enthusiastic going to my local tuner in this case.
I know the WLS setup is using the K24 turbos and I might replace mine when I get a reasonable offer some day, but I'm just looking for the original WLS Data for performing the upgrade on my own.

All that snow is gone from your side?

I'm waiting on my new toy to arrive from Toronto, got stuck up by the weather...
