Hey mffarrell: Just completed installation of PCCM + unit in my 2003 Porsche Boxster S. This installation was a bear to say the least. Took me over 15 hours! Anyway I was a little disappointed that the unit does not support playing IPOD thru USB port. Can play thru ASUX port but I don't get any visual of song, artist or album art. BOOO!
The question I have, is the installation instructions (Aug 31, 2020 version), page 6 of 12 calls for needing adapter cable 986.642.573.00 if I have a antenna amplifier. Not sure why I need this. I plugged in the existing antenna plug that was behind radio and I get good reception. Although I only need to have volume set at 3.
Why is this adapter needed? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey bud - came across a post where you shared a pic of your swap from a 996 C4S cab deck lid to a Turbo cab deck lid.

I have a 996 Turbo coupe, but I prefer the C4S's clean, sloping profile and red reflector, so I want to do the reverse of what you did.

To swap my Turbo coupe's deck lid / hydraulic spoiler for a C4S deck lid / electric spoiler, does the donor C4S have to be a coupe as well? Are the dimensions / plugs only interchangeable if I go coupe to coupe, or will a deck lid from a C4S cab fit my Turbo coupe?

Also, you mentioned a thread that helped you do your swap - any chance you can share the link?

    Many thanks, and merry Christmas!
    Dustin
