That's quite an improvement on spread.

Good job!

Got pulled over after passing a guy by the Horsemen, managed to talk my way out of it with a warning...

Trapped in Kamloops, going for a steak...

Colorado, 10,000', early December. Normally these roads would be better suited to my F150 with blizzaks than a group of high-powered sports cars, but today was glorious!

I was in the Polar Silver 996 Turbo today...

Was kind of cool that at our pre-drive meet spot, we randomly had four different color silver 911's lined up next to each other...

Right to left, Polar Silver, Arctic Silver, GT Silver, Dolomite Silver.

So is Dolomite as blue as Polar?

That looks like a blast! As a new turbo owner in Colorado, how do I get involved with this group?

Hagerty insurance has been hosting open "cars and caffeine" events in their Golden facility on Friday mornings, weather permitting... This was one of those events, some of us then took a drive afterwords. I think your in the Springs so a bit of a drive, but come join if it isn't too far.

I should have pulled the Polar next to the Dolomite for comparison, but I'd say it might even be slightly more blue than Polar. The Dolomite car belongs to a Rennlister who recently got the car and met, so I'm sure I'll have a chance in the future to talk a picture of them next to each other.

Replaced the bearing on the tensioner pulley. It was much easier than I thought. Remove the Airbox and left idle roller, 15 at the back and wiggle 24 in front and it's done. I ordered the proper size bearing only for $20. Tap the old bearing out tap the new bearing in.
Now Blackie is as quiet as the other one.
I can rattle the old bearing just shaking it.

Interesting... And makes sense. I've replaced the whole assembly, but they are a bit pricey, a couple of hundred. Do you have the specs or part number on the replacement bearing? My Polar turbo might need that exact part and I'd rather have it ready to swap in as soon as I remove the pulley rather than sourcing it afterwords.

It wasn't today but drove down to San Antonio to pick up the OEM hollow turbo twist wheels from the previous owner along with a bunch of other spare parts.
