I've played a bit with home garage alignment using simple camber gauges, toe plates, etc. but honestly that's a bit of an art and doing it without a real alignment rack and way more experience than I have isn't easy.

Yes, agree with you - alignment setup and even proper dialing in of a coilover suspension is not for the faint of heart and often misused. Is it true that the drop in ride height is pretty significant with H&R springs? I feel I’ve read this mentioned in several threads regarding ride heights. Clearance of the aero splitter is a concern to me, though ill likely have a replacement available for “when it happens” anyways. I don’t want anxiety anytime i see a speed bump or enter/exit parking lot/driveways.

A dialed in alignment setup for the street tires, and adj. sway bar set up will be more then adequate. The less to tinker with here the better - I don’t have a engineer to keep me honest nor is this a race car.

To bring this derailing the thread…great use of quick jacks. Eager to pick up my own set, I have so much to learn about the platform and my car.

Yes, nowadays components (or, at least before supply chain issues arose) for that arrangement would likely be as you note around $150 BOM; however, I understand that they are assembled, tested and calibrated in the States, which will likely drive up the cost. We have the same problem here - I can put together some very precise electronics with a BOM of less than $100, but by the time it goes out the door, it is 5 to 6 times that cost.

I have the H&R with B8 setup. It ended up at below GT2 ride height by about 5MM. I made spacers and got it back to just barely in the lower end of the GT2 spec. Yes you will scrape the aero spoiler A LOT. I am on aero lip #4 in as many years and it just got destroyed last nigh. On to #5 Here is a snip of the ride height data i put together when i did mine

Installed my 19" wheels. They're Sportec made in Switzerland (?). I think they look pretty nice, too bad 19" tires are so darn hard to find and our roads are so bad.

Switzerland, yes.

They look good.

Good to see a Ford in there as well...

It's not my F250 - I wish it were as it's exactly the spec I would order, a contractor's special extended cab with cloth seats and a diesel engine. Too rich for my tax bracket.

Depending on what you do, it can pay for itself.

Noticed I was about a quart low after putting close to 1200 miles on it. Oil level was at 1 bar above MIN. Added a quart Mobil 1 5w-50 based on some of the threads on here and oil level is now at 1 bar below MAX.

The previous owner had the PSS9s ride height set way too low AND had all 4 corners set at 9 (softest setting). Needless to say the ride was horrible. Since having the ride height raised and setting the PSS9s to 6 in all four corners, the difference in ride and handling is night and day. I still think there is some tweaking to be done on the settings but that is more time digging through older threads.

I'm a software developer/hardware developer. If there were any hope of using a truck in my business I'd have one.

Yes, we have a number of software/hardware guys in our shop - they have no need for something like that either.

This is great data!

I’m leaning toward a ride height between x73 and Gt2. Sorry about the splitter. I should probably conserve my painted one and replace with an eBay one.

So on my H&R (Arctic) Turbo, I find the ride height to be perfect. Looks great, handles great, and while I certainly need to be careful with big speed bumps and my aero spoiler, I don't find it to be overly low. It is as mentioned about 1/4" lower than X73. I have about 4.5" clearance from the tip of the aero spoiler to ground. Very manageable, for me the perfect ride height.

On the KW (Polar) Turbo, the initial setting definitely *was* too low. Clearance was down to 4" and I kept catching the spoiler and pulling it backwards when backing out of my driveway, even when very careful. Clearance was around 4" with the same aero spoiler before my latest adjustment, now it is about the same as the Arctic H&R car.

I will take out a spoiler about every 18 months or so, but not because of the 1/4" difference in ride height... It's going a bit too fast down a road I'm not familiar with and being surprised by an unseen drainage swale in the road that dips down and back up.

H&R ride height images...

Installed a carbon fiber interior light surround that was given to me by the previous owner of my car.
