I know, right. It's an old unassuming building downtown that this guy bought and turned into his personal garage. You would have no idea what's inside if you drove by. He has about 6 of his own cars and a couple bikes, and rents out the other 4 spots to friends. It's fairly expensive for storage but it's a fun place to hangout and look at your car all winter
That place is almost perfect. I would like it to be brighter, more like Jay Lenos but that's just being picky! Great place and I'd love to have my car in there.
I repaired the janky air box mod some PO did. 100% functional now, but still looks janky. On the prowl for a reasonable $ used air box cover. Also hooked up my new Durametric and went for a drive an checked out some engine parameters. Cool software, could be better tho.

I have a complete air box I'd be glad to part with.
We had a Boy Scout "Overnight at the Museum" at the Kansas City Automotive Museum last night where I taught the Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge. Used my car as the donor subject for them to do things like checking fluids and lighting and identifying systems. Since they're required to wash a car, actually got them to do a quick detail on it. I still had to wipe off a ton of fingerprints this morning.
Then, took the old piece of track garbage to our local PCA breakfast.
Although we were missing a lot of guys who were at Porschepalooza in Arkansas, we still managed to have 3 GT3 cars and one GT3 replica at breakfast. Here are 3 of them.
That's the first time I have ever had that happen to one of my cars. It sort of made my day. I guess the spotter doesn't hang out here much or he/she would have known better.
You need to enjoy your car and stop looking for an argument= no one has called your car any of those things and most if not all do not think it either. Let it go. I could honestly care less what most people think.
But, I agree the running joke is getting a bit tired. I'll save the humor for the NA996 forum. It should be abundantly clear from my posts that I absolutely love my car. I am enjoying the heck out of it.
Yes I still think its true but that's my opinion and wasn't referring to your car. I've owned plenty of cars that people thought were junk and for the most part they were right= but I still had fun with them.
Third- Yep. Noticed the GT3s at the PCA breakfast were running the same rims. Soooo, mebbe they're ok.
Hope your car is treating you as well as mine. I was really taken aback today by the carspotting thing. Very humbled to own a car that some stranger would think so highly of. We are all very lucky people.
