Jumping into this thread without reading the whole thing, sorry. Is this product available, and what's it cost? I'm running an LN deep-sump oil pan with the 997 squirters, and it's better than stock, but not a bulletproof fix.

I think he means the 997 M97 oil return lines. (They replace the 996 swirl pots)

Yep, it's like pushing rocks up hill! This is the risk with small companies. Keep working it.
Spinal nerve stuff is ZERO fun. Both of my brothers have inherited spinal stenosis. 2 operations for one, 1 for the other. Both are trying to manage pain relief with CBD products to stay away from the addictive stuff. Thankfully I dodged the genetic code that creates the problem. My best wishes to Daniel for a complete recovery. There is no rushing this issue.

To get this thread back on track ....I will restate what this thread is about....
It's about an Invention that will produce the same effects as a "Dry Sump System" ( Specifically Daileys) in a 996 without ;;;
1 ...having a tank that Is mounted 10 feet away
2... has 50ft of lines and numerous connections
3 ..has an exposed "rubber belt" to drive the oil pump...
4 ...doesn't cost $6K
The UIDS already proves better in lateral G than the Mezger Dry Sump and with the updates will equal the performance of any dry sump on the market without the deficiencies of the dry sump....There is quite a few reasons Dry Sumps are not used in most production cars....

UPDATE::
Good News !! Daniels pain miraculously receded overnight and he was able to return to work yesturday with only an Asperin every 4 hours..
Thanks to those who sent well wishes...
Daniel was able to do a repair on the Laser cutting tool and get the Bank 1 Baffle cut and fitted....
All this drafting and computer CAD CAM and Laser tool take a lot longer than when I was younger and did things "old School" by hand. I could have hand built/fit them much quicker but the new way of doings things is better in the long run when doing more than just 1....
So progress continues and seems the Porsche Gods approve??

Thanks guys !! You guys and the other m96/7 owners and the m96/7 engine it's self is the reason I Invent and develope this stuff..
In other NEWS ::::
I have in my hand a brand new AIM MXS to be used to compare/gather data on all the other sumps availible for the M96/7 engines, ie. the Hartech, FVD, Brey Krouse, TRS , X51 , Tarett ,LN/BRS , Mantis ( of course we already have data proof the UIDS outperforms Mantis ) ....
So if anyone has one of these sumps we can do a before/after direct comparison on the same day/same weekend since the UIDS is so easy to install.. It will be a "Loner Program" so to speak...
The MXS will be as plug-n-play as possible with a plug in for OBDII info, a plug in GPS, a dedicated line for oil temperature that will screw into the UIDS port provided, a dedicated line for the AIM oil pressure Sensor with the correct 14mm adaptor fitting to screw driectly into the oil pressure port in the head, using a mount to the dash using the excellent Rennclassic phone mount that attches to the Hazard Switch..( Sorry Yaz, I hope it can hold it)...The MXS weighs 1lb10oz ..my phone weighs 1/2 lb so roughly the MXS weighs 3 times what my phone with phone mount weighs..May need to beef up the mount a little but no biggie...the goal is to be portable and quick hook-up / un-hook ......
AIM oil pressure Sensor with correct adaptor to screw directly into the m96/7 oil pressure port ..
AIM oil temperature Sensor m10x1.0 that will screw directly into the UIDS port that is provided in all UIDS Sumps..

The proven extreme use case of my mount so far has been @De Jeeper using an AIM Solo 2 off a RAM 3" arm attached to the B mount insert. Looks like the AIM MXS is quite a bit heavier (530 vs 240 grams). Position is less likely to slip with the B mount vs the 17mm. Bigger concern is probably it being too much weight the OEM plastic plug-in nut in the dashboard, but I'm sure you have plenty of those laying around. I did spend a little time looking for a similar sized metal plug-in nut, but wasn't able to find anything at the usual places like McMaster.

Skip as a refference on the yaz mount. It supports the aim solo dl2 fine but im not sure u want to go heavier. Mine weighs 11oz with the adaptor. U may be better off adapting a Ram mount winshield suction cup.
Also i upgraded my telemtry this year so we will be able to side by side the g-data and oil pressure of a c2 mezger if u can get some numbers from Watkins or either track at njmp. Thats were ill mostly be this year.
