You are correct...just like right after I finished setting an IHRA World Record I started to work to make my engine yet faster to set another record even lower . In my vocabulary there is no such thing as "good enough" .. Just like Jake didn't stop when he reached 375hp on the m96...
BTW :: there will be a price increase coming as all the materials and costs have gone up dramatically reciently on everything..

Thank you so much for continuing to develope this.
I bought my first Porsche this summer and can't wait to get it on track after I attended an autoX event with it. After running an e30, and Z06 I'm really excited to learn how to drive the 996 in anger. That being said, I was very disappointed and surprised at how poorly prepared from the factory this car is for any aggressive driving. No LSD, oiling issues, cooling. Issues my much cheaper and less prestigious past bmw and corvette didn't have at all.
I'm eagerly following this development. After all the confusion researching AOS, baffling, deeper sumps, dual stage oil pumps, it's beginning to be overwhelming and scary taking the car to the track. I don't have plans for R comps and great lap times, but I also don't want to grenade a motor because I wasn't willing to invest up front to preserve it.
Thank you so much again!

I would recomend the mods if you are going to track it. Why wouldn't you want to mitigate the risks of IMSB and AOS failure, oil pressure instability and starvation, and insufficient cooling leading to failure?
All you gotta do is bolt on a few common sense parts and enjoy the ride.

That's right, the Carrera is not a GT3, but everyone wishes it had the reliability/performance of the GT3.....Hence the developments....

Some people are OK with a 1-3% failure rate....( which is unacceptable in the real world) ( much more under high performance driving) ..others want more ...

that failure rate is unacceptable in any mass produced product, let alone one with the Porsche badge on it.

Yes, I was up working untill 3am this morning in "Sants's Workshop" lol
I have a big 3BR 3 bath house with just me in it...( 2 x-wives have passed away, 3 kids grown). I turned 1 BR into an office and 1 BR into a workshop...I don't have to leave the house except to drive the Porsche !!
That's exactly right, but some chose to just except it, or some even go to ( heaven forbid) Government Motors..

It will come with a "dog house" ( shown in lower pic) that will bolt to the existing valve using 2 of the existing bolts to cover/seal the roller on bank 1 side.
The baffles will slide up into the case with a snug rubber fit and bolt in .
There is a precision "gauge" that will be included to make sure of the proper installed height..
You will slide the gauge across the bottom of the case sump rails and adjust the baffle up or down so that it doesn't touch the gauge, just comes close.....This will set how close the baffles comes to the floor of the sump..
Then just reinstall the UIDS. Pretty simple..

I have seen it with my own eyes too...
This is why I am setting up the AIM MXS1.3 to log all this..( Loaner Program) ...One big disappointment on the AIM data Acquisition stuff is it doesnt support DME data on 1999 996 C2.......I had to set up my OBDII dongle and OBDLINK MX to Bluetooth to my phone for DME data and use the Torque PRo/Track Data so I can capture all the Engine data overlaid on the video..
The AIM MXS1.3 will get all the Track Data plus the AIM oil pressure and AIM oil temperature...on other DME's it will support them...

What issue are the baffles trying to solve? The initially posted data looked pretty good, and your prior comments were that the UIDS solved all of the problems.
Also, with so many holes in the baffles, what are they doing? I thought you wanted the oil to slosh to the outside of the turn as fast as possible, because that's where your weighted pickup will shift to pull in oil? Slowing down the oil movement would seems counter intuitive to me.
If this has been answered, or if the questions annoy you, just ignore me; no offense intended.
