It was restored in the 1979 - 1980 color of Tobacco Metallic. A few things I suspect could always be altered to specific tastes. However, the fact that the example chosen for restoration and then shown on the showroom floor was a 996 for sale alongside of brand new 992's, Taycan's, etc. was uplifting... to say the least.

It is a C2 but underpinned and upgraded with a bunch of 996GT parts. It grabbed a ton of attention by many while I was there buying a new flywheel bolts for my 996 in the parts department... but so did the centerstage Porsche Hookah/Weed Bong (garnered some attention). I guess Porsche Design is exploring many new retail horizons 😁🤣😄.

Oh, it's a spectacular color. I noted from their website that the price is "Please Inquire", aka "I can't afford it." No real worries; I'm a long-termer on my 996 Cab, which gets mild noodling and customization as the mood and funds strike, but it will never be as astonishing as this.

And only $2,200.00. Seems like a no brainer...

LMAO! Whatta bargain... hey is says Porsche on it! So I am certain there are plenty of buyers out there for it, even at that price.

You're assuming the buyer only wants one. You're never going to make it as a Porsche Design sales rep

porsche should hire charmin to manufacture toilet paper for them with a big crest on every sheet. Last week the CEO of a high end dealership I went to see a 01 turbo that was on auction at pcarmarket was wearing porsche sandals real fury red with a black porsche crest. I didn’t mind because I had a pour of woodford reserve at his bar while we were talking about how much he wanted for the F40. He has an awesome job.

Maaaan that brown Targa is gorgeous. I'd have done different wheels but that's a small complaint.

Does the Shisha 2.1 fit in a 911 cupholder? Or will that be a feature on the 2.2?

Not entirely certain, but I think it was actually ordered by and then done for the dealership (Sunset). I do not know who did the actual work.

It seems it was part of the national classic restoration challenge.

Love the 996 Rennaisance taking place. They did a nice job with the Targa.

Yeah, they built this right after Porsche released the 996 Classic. I've seen the car in person too and it's really well done.
