It really does make the stern look more sleek, rather than a large blunt shape.....

I have mine open almost every time I drive the car, at least angled up. Even in the rain ( yeah, I drive mine in the rain hahah) as it’s in the DD rotation.
Weight savings...additional head room...less moving parts to break!

think i'll be building my own .1 xaa clone because these have gotten too expensive.

I bid on her at 40. Can't stomache 50+fees+tax+IMS and clutch service. Looking at a $60k car. Still definitely worth it imo.

Definitely one to watch. $47,200 with 40 minutes to go. Plenty of time to go higher. Curious how far it actually goes!

Love to see this. A car for sale on BAT that had major maintenence performed with service records. We need more of this.

What will hurt this car in the end is that it's a rust belt car and the underneath does show it. However, it appears to be free of rust and overall a clean car, but the corrosion on the aluminum block tells me this was not a fair weather car.

It would be nice if sellers started posting DME reports on modern Porsches as a standard... I would say a full independent inspection that includes images of the cylinders would be helpful to buyers and make BaT a better marketplace. When I sold my 996 on BaT I included DME overrev report, manometer results, rough running index, and camshaft deviations. Today, I would look to have the cylinders scoped since bore scoring is becoming a problem of concern for buyers.

Oh wait just a minute...

610AUTOHaus noted camshaft deviations on the edge of LN Engineering's 4 degree threshold and "light bore scoring". WARNING!!!!
IMHO, without seeing the entire cylinders on bank2, I wouldn't bid on this car!

Yes, I totally agree. I'm looking to return to 996 ownership and this seems like a clean car, but I would hope the sellers provides current PPI information from an independent source. I would need to see bore scope images, current camshaft dev, rough running, overrevs, etc.

@zbomb it's not a 996 but it might give you ideas...

...plus it's just bonkers enough to be cool.

I love the luggage being cut and fitted as an engine cover, that's absolutely briliant.
