@pulpo Beautiful car! I wasn't on BaT the last couple of weeks because we're renovating our new house, and you bought my dream spec 997. Congrats! I'm glad we have similar taste

If you're ever done with it, let me know

This is crazy - good on the seller for making good money. Realistically, this makes up .00001 percent of 996 cars out there so definitely an outlier.

That’s just a silly # for that car considering what else you can get for that $… Whatever! There’s no accounting for taste

Couldn't agree more. Awesome car, but it probably will need a few thousand $ to refresh every piece of rubber that has been drying outt while the previous owners have barely driven it over the last 20 years. Gotta imagine this is going to be a small part of someone's big collection that will sit for another 20 years.

Default That’s what I call stupid money.

On top of all of this this super low mileage example is a convertible which is noisy as heck at supersonic speeds and it’s an extremely likeable candidate for bore scoring, no thanks.

Hey...

Taking financials out of the equation, you gotta give the guy kudos, he wanted the car and got it.

Sure would like to see some turbos bid up in price. Best bargain in the 996 market. Still scratching my head on why there isn't a bigger demand for them.

My logic has been that just about everything out these days is also a turbo or some sort of a hybrid. NA options are slim to come by in a package that's worth driving. The only one I can think of right this moment is the Toyota GR86, Mustang and a Miata as far as enthusiast cars go. Everything else is forced induction. Super capable and more than fast but if you're after that NA driving experience and sound a Turbo is just not it. Not saying it's a bad car, because it's not but it's different from a NA Mezger or even a M96/M97.
