This is where BaT's been headed since they were purchased by a large publisher: Volume.

Many listings have significant details incorrect in the writeups, and you're still on your own for a PPI under the pressure of time. I won't sell or buy on one of these sites again.

Remember that BaT, Cars and Bids, PCarMarket and others are just publishing platforms connecting buyers and sellers. They're not auction houses.

Bring a Trailer is so called because you'd literally need to do just that when buying a listing. Somehow they evolved into a premium price platform. They can sell whatever they want. Pristine rare cars or piles of crap. Their call

Yeah ever since they pumped up the volume there's just so much crap to filter through now. It feels like scrolling forever in a sea of whatevers where you'll stumble on the handful that are decent or greater. Totally understand why from a business aspect, but as a user it's pretty annoying.

Closing the loop a bit, but the truck was "won" by a guy who puts out fun bids on OBS trucks, related to their model year. $11,996.

The buyer also backed out because he thought it was a F350 like the badges say not an F250 like the title says! I think if I was the seller I would have made it very clear in the description that it is an F250 with the wrong badges. The buyer is supposedly now banned from BaT though.

I dunno man, in the title and first paragraph it's mentioned that it's an F-250 three times. I guess he can play dumb with the "Didn't know it was a 250 because it has 350 badges" but given the guy's bid and comment history, I think he was just clowning around and got burned. It happens.

Oh, it's definitely the buyers fault and I'm guessing that was just his way of trying to weasel out since he was placing joke bids with no serious intention of buying. I'm just saying as the seller I would have made a bigger point about the badges being wrong, because people are idiots. I recently sold my base 944 NA that a PO stuck an S badge on and despite making several mentions of the badge being wrong and stating it was a base 8v car and all of the parts were 8v parts, you wouldn't believe the number of people messaging me thinking it was a 16v S model.

Or, you know, maybe remove poser badging before listing for sale?

Hmmm. "Mendacious". I don't run to google very often, but I'll admit that one stumped me....

Received the latest issue of Panorama today and this ad from Gooding & Company’s Amelia Island auction caught my eye.

1959 718 RSK
1993 3.8 RS Clubsport
2005 Carrera GT
1998 RUF Turbo R
………………………. 2004 911 40th Anniversary Edition

Let’s see where this ends up

For their part gooding thinks it will end up at 75-90k

Which is probably right but really crazy to think about
