Prices Keep Drifting Up

Fortunately, there's more to life than sheer statistics just as there is more to life than just taking a photograph.
Beautiful sounding and feeling cars are much like art. Technically, a photograph or a technical drawing is more accurate but they're not nearly as moving as a piece of art that moves emotions.
We're losing our souls with the advance of tech stamping out human error and all the other sense that go along with it.
I've only driven one Tesla but I did not like it. It may have been as fast as my Turbo but it wasn't nearly as fun.

Remember when the Boxster went to turbo 4 engines. Yep, neither does anyone else because they didn't sell very well. They handled great, and even had a little bit of kick to them, but they sounded like turbo charged lawnmowers. Owning a Porsche is part performance and part sound.
Those old 930s with the wooden pedal board, 4 gears and a fat rear end were like a bumble bee - it wasn't supposed to work but it did.
I always respected how reserved a 944 felt but it wasn't the driving experience I'd want in a sports car.

In any industry people get to know each other well in the same way you guys recognize bidders in online auctions.
If an auction house loses it's reputation for sales not following through it loses credibility and that affects final sales prices.
It's in the best interest of ANY public auction house to police their sales or lose credibility.

I think one thing to realize is that BaT, C&B, etc are not auction houses per se, but more like enhanced Craigslists.
The entire business model is brilliant: Almost zero risk, enormous income/reward, ability to influence markets, and become a point of reference for valuations.

Oh for sure, and I believe the amount of buyers (and sellers) not following through is still minimal.

By the time the boxster is fully electric. The base models will be twin turbo hybrids I imagine. I doubt Porsche would allow a base 718 to be faster than a base 911

Three Wheelin'
Maybe one of one,
I’m really interested in this one. Yes I know it’s a turbo, but still a 996. Need oil to go to $125, so I can continue to lot sell ConocoPhillips and cash in. Love the blue. I seen the color on a few 997s.

Funny how the price momentum picked up. Everything was dead in the water last week.
