I sold a car on BaT the buyer wired the money next day. Day after that an enclosed semi picked up the car and took it to Napa. Easy peasy when they’re rich enthusiasts

at the prices I bid it would have been a steal. Also wanted to be kept in the loop. He’s real happy about the results.

Default I’ll spend a bunch of time with him on Monday

I’ll have a chance to talk to him on Monday. Actually I picked some parts at a Porsche dealership for his 993 yesterday. He’s working on making this 993 better if that’s possible than the 996 he just sold. Honestly in my 42 years of dealing with cars I haven’t met a person that pays this much attention to details in his cars. I mean street cars, professional racing is blls to the wall.

Check out the winning bidder on this... Look at the cars he or she has bought this month alone?

yes, cool cars was also bidding on my friends car. Unfortunately for him there was an individual that wanted the car to drive it seems. Cool cars likes cars with lower mileage. Another one to watch is usmotoreum out of dripping springs Texas he has a warehouse, he goes for higher mileage drivers. I still think you get a better deal by buying outside of the auction world, thru car dealers, sellers direct, and doing as much diligence as possible. These guys that are buying them like crazy remind me of the “tulip frenzy” that didn’t ended up well for a bunch of people. Only time will tell, now back to our schedule programming.

Maybe the word “fire” is not the best choice given the earlier discussions about spontaneous EV battery ignition?

Good god, this thread is about about the prices the 996. One of the least-loved, "not a real 911" (by the older, typical Porsche snobs) has turned into a bitch session about how the new 911 "is not a real 911", how advances in technology are bad. ****ting on other manufacturers. It's like 1999 in here. This is type stuff that keeps me away from most Porsche "enthusiasts".

I'll go drive my 996 in the hills and enjoy it while it's value continues to rise. You guys keep complaining about EVs and 992s
