Seems that day and time, miles and if aero kit or not seem to be interesting variables. Unicorn color didn't matter quite as much on this one.

I don't know what they think they are doing. Maybe their market studies tell them that the affluent customer base they are addressing wants all the shiny surfaces and controls. I don't doubt they are very quick but the visual enchantment is certainly not there for me.

I've looked at the new 911s in the dealer's showroom and I have concluded that Porsche is dangerously close to losing their way completely.....

Makes the 996 pretty damn attractive for us petrol heads.

Bingo. It's a business. Porsche knows exactly what they are doing. Going after the affluent folks that can't drive manual, think Lexus and Tesla are the best made cars, never watched an F1 race nor IMSA, want to drive a cushy sports car around with every creature comfort known to man. Most importantly, they have never heard of heal toe shifting.

As for me, I like the scent of leather, a big tach, a stick in my hand, and a throaty roar, all wrapped up in a shiny exterior. And no chrome. Oh, just like my 996. Imagine that!

I second that one
we went to see the 99 black lsd, factory XAA that’s listed on pcar. The car looks good interior is clean. The owner is a true Motörhead, but he discovered he just likes american muscle cars. Just sold a 17 viper, recently bought a 74 verte with a blower sticking thru the hood. His wife’s is a old school 60s Camaro SS. I may buy this one and put all my performance parts on it if I can get it at a good price. It has the super loud fabspeed exhaust.

Pretty sure the LFA will be collectible at 50. It already is today. I know that's not your average Lexus, but still. I'm also sure people never thought MK IV Supras would turn into the collectables they are today. It used to be they were valuable because of the potential of the TT 2JZ, but now stock cars command huge premiums.
