Was feeling smug about my $45k prediction until the auction got bumped 15 more times. HOLY MOLY. BaT is a wondrous place.

At the start of December, one with 90k miles sold for $44k. It also had a front splitter in much better shape

The power of X51...

The BAT knuckleheads are figuring it out. How many of them come to this thread or start other threads with questions?

For the 996 market to reach its potential, we need to see the 996.2 coupe market start to catch some strong bids. Starts with the 40th!

Next step is to get someone to sell their well kept and loved 996.2 coupe. Fat chance. Very few folks in their right mind will sell one. Too sweet of a ride.

After the 40th, doesn't look like any 996.2 coupes are for sale. Lack of sellers = higher prices.

996.2 coupe, better buy one now before it's too late.

I hope you’re right. Not planning to sell mine anytime soon but I hope you’re right.

$41,750 + $2k fee + shipping, no factory sports exhaust but does have the LN Solution. Do like the stance with the lowering springs vs my stock 03 4s suspension, will admit that.
Thought I'd go back to the very first post in this thread and compare this car to today's market. Easily up another 20% from what, at the time, I already thought was a crazy price. $50k is the new benchmark for decent 4s models, at a minimum.

Interested to see how the 40th anniversary performs today. They should begin shooting up in value. A lot of car for still very attractive prices.

This is facts. You NEVER see clean low mileage 996.2 Carreras available for sale. Not NEARLY at the rate you see the C4S and or Turbo GT cars. I can't say this with any backup but I am convinced 996.2 Carrera's had a lower production run than the 4S.

Approximately 2700 more 4s coupes than C2 coupes in the 996.2 gen, not a significant difference. (17.3k vs 14.6k)
