Light wheels do indeed transform a car's performance. It isn't really a HP thing, it's a nimble thing.

Case in point. I have lots of E30 M3 with various wheels. The 15" light stock wheel drives totally different than the 17" (lightweight) wheel. Part of that is the sidewall but...

The 17" Lightweight wheel handles differently than my 17" heavier wheel. Form steering to braking to everything. LTW wheels for the win.

1997 Landrover Defender 90. I swapped the lighter wheels for the heavier duty steel wheels for the "look". RUINED the driving experience.

Light wheels make a difference.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...carrera-4s-50/

think we might see a new 'Lowest Sale' for 996 4S on Classic.com and BaT

edit. after looking closer its not bad. i guess the branded title is a carfax issue?

Seems like a reasonable explanation in the comments about the title. It’s already got 125k so I don’t think it’ll hurt that much.

I think the bump in power was indeed legit (if only minuscule) due to some intake and/or exhaust tweaks made by Porsche.

Should I????

Was offered a silver 2001 911 manual with 85k miles for $19k here in California

Not the cleanest but 8/10 overall and on original IMS.

Even if we are at the top of the 996 market, how much can it really drop from here?
