Well, not to start this debate again BUT IMHO BaT is not "market" where (localized) you sell right? BaT is a website...it's "market" is potentially worldwide provided you can reach it. IMHO, I tend to evaluate my car $5-10k < BaT; even though my car may be "better" than a car on BaT. A car, VERY similar to mine (one year older; similar build), recently sold on BaT and brought 70+k. My car is in better condition, not modified, and has fewer miles but I still do not think I could get a BaT price privately. Just my .02.

BAT prices are entertainment. Like watching Bitcoin.

But if you are looking to sell nearterm, then Bat becomes more important. But why would you want to sell?

I agree.. private sales seem to be 10-20% below BAT... but then again.. maybe that makes sense?

Yeah that is kind of what I was thinking but it doesn't seem like it will pop that high. $45k maybe?

Buy private, sell public. Isn't that what the PE industry does.

The 5% buyer fee on BaT final amount has me curious about these prices as well. Not to mention shipping the car, if required.

Agree...seems slow but that is BaT; they all pop out at the end. I'd be a bit surprised if this got within 10k. But that just me looking at the data.

So 40k @ 5% == 2k + 2k shipping? I have no idea what car shipping costs are these days; totally out of touch.

Coast to coast enclosed shipping I can do for $2000 all day so that's spot on estimate. Probably $1500 for open but please never ship a 911 open trailer.

Okay cool, thanks. We can trim 4-5k from every BaT sale right away; assuming shipped that is (good odds).

Easier to back out of a private sale or just offer less than what it's listed for.

BAT let's the peanut gallery fuel the excitement of bidding. I'm sure plenty people go in with a minimum dollar planned to spend, but then push that further because "what's another $500/$1,000" at the tail end which causes a slight downhill snowball effect.

True.. BAT does also offer simplicity and convenience over a private sale.. if you can get over not touching and feeling.. not my cup o tea.. but I also see value in that..

That 40 Jahre will be more than 50. Comps are 53-55 I'm guessing maybe even a little bit more.

The seller should have fixed the front splitter but I don't think it will hold back the price much. can't quite tell what is going on with it
