Prices Keep Drifting Up

Good to know. My wife has the big family SUV and I need a car, but don't need something for daily use per se.
I have 2 girls that love my 911 and I surely do love it too, but am wondering if I need to get something that may be better as my girls grow.
Have also tossed the idea of leasing something cheap (ie Corolla) and lowering the mileage on my 911 and keeping that as the weekend fun/family car.

I’m still in shock after reading there were 6,516 993 Turbos made
And there were only 7,019 996 Turbo manual coupes made
Since the 993 Turbos are all manual coupes: these numbers are apples-apples
Eventually the market is going to “learn” this truth
Edit: Another interesting factoid- there are over twice as many 993 coupes just in the US, than there are 996 Turbo coupes in the whole world (including the US)

Hi bdronsick, this interesting because I don't think I've seen production data on 996s about transmission type. There is a thread on production data (click here) but that data doesn't show trans type. If you have access to some more data about transmission type, I'd sure like to add it to that thread since it has occasional questions about that.
Also I am not sure if we've seen numbers on what what was sold in the US on 996s; the data in that thread is whole production. So the US volume would be a great value add as well if anybody can find that data.

The excellent resource HowToPorsche breaks down world production totals by transmission and body style, but unfortunately not by country import allocations
All we know for sure is there were only 7,019 996 Turbo manual coupes manufactured worldwide
That number is a tiny fraction of what we’ve been led to believe
AND now to learn there were a whopping 6,500 993 Turbos made too!?!?
This is not differential calculus
This is first grade math: there are only 500 more 996 Turbo manual coupes than 993
Cataclysmic market data

It was a hilarious experience, and a ton of fun. Charity days you're in line with everything else on the track so pace is pretty slow anyways, and surprisingly he wasn't the only one out there in a minivan.

CGT is a $5M car IMO, and $10M within a decade
What does that say about the Mezgers? (which are better; albeit somewhat more numerous)
Edit: 700 CGT’s, 1,300 996 GT’s, & 3K 996 Turbo’s (manual coupe) imported by PCNA- NONE of these numbers are “mass” production; NONE!

Not so sure now with the increasing pressure world-wide to phase out internal combustion engines. We will see, but I didn't buy my car as a potential investment, so I really don't care what its market value is or will be 20 years from now.
