Burning Brakes
I would sell to Carvana, but would never buy from.

This is an accurate statement. I know of a person that was struggling to offload their VW diesel Jetta that was having issues at the tail end of their warranty, got dicked around until it was outside of warranty, then got a crap offer from VW and other dealerships. Carvana bought it for more than he owed and they did not inspect anything on the car other than whether it ran and was in general "operable" shape.
I would sell to Carvana, but would never buy from.

I suppose it's not so sleazy if the "no questions asked return policy" is authentic
That would be ample opportunity to drive and inspect the car
I would much rather buy 911's this way!!

So ironic if you consider Carvana's 'hilarious' TV/Internet commercial that depicts sleazy car salesman laughing at how Carvana sells cars with no pressure, and a no questions asked return period. Ironic if Carvana turns out to be sleazier.

lol in 2022 we trust information on a forum from a guy who heard on tiktok from somebody who claims to be an ex employee that blah blah blah
this thread reminding me of south park again.
in the future we've all decided centralized banking is rigged, we prefer fly-by-night ponzi schemes.

Out of curiosity I punched my cab into the dealer site for a car I was interested in and it was around $21k in trade credit, about what it was in September when I was buying my truck. Wouldn't trade it in but I was curious.

About Carvana (Don't think I'd buy a Porsche there): How An Ex-Con Became A Billionaire From Used Cars
https://www.forbes.com/sites/nathanv...from-used-cars
"In April, Ernest Garcia II, a 60-year-old convicted felon, stood next to his son as Ernest Garcia III rang the bell of the New York Stock Exchange. For decades, Garcia had been careful to stay out of the public eye, but with the initial public offering of Carvana he was ready to openly celebrate a crowning achievement.
Garcia’s business career has included personal and corporate bankruptcies, overseeing a stock market debacle, and many years of selling used cars and making subprime auto loans............."

"Incredibly, Garcia himself is now a billionaire. Forbes estimates his net worth at $2.5 billion."
What is crazy is today, Forbes estimates he is worth between $10-15 billion.
Shows you how the used car business is doing. #39 richest man in America.
