Glad you got the pump in and everything is working. Still can't get over the cost of a new one? Any way to rebuild the old one or is it pretty much a replace and throw item?

I hope I can get it working again Glenn to keep as a spare - just starting to look into ABS pump troubleshooting, looks like some good stuff on the net for DIY repair, no shock with the cost of the units - so, we'll see.
I'm at Thompson tomorrow, I know Aaron will be there too - really looking forward to it and keeping my fingers crossed the ABS is good. I am planning to be able to push for some good times tomorrow, in an effort to enhance my situational awareness, I added some LED notification of pace against best lap time of the session, similar to what an Aim Solo does. Basically, if I'm running faster than pace, 1 green LED is lit, if I'm more than 1 second ahead of pace, a 2nd green LED lights up. If I'm slower, a single blue LED is shown. This will make it so I don't have to look at the actual +/- displayed on the dash for an indication of how any given lap is going. I also changed the shift light pattern for the lower gears to give a better cadence with the high RPM ascension speed.
Also gave the dash a little flare on startup - the clarity is wonky - I'll get something better eventually but this will do for now
My familiarity at Thompson means I'm able to extract a lot more out of the car there than on the other tracks I've run. I think the below data capture really shows what the car is consistently capable of there, the fact that I still have a lot to learn as a driver and the car likely has more in it is a testament to how good the parts combination is working. I feel like over 1.2G of braking and 1.4G of cornering on a driven to the track car is pretty good - Now to go get MORE !
***ETA*** Rolled over 500 YouTube Subscribers... way more than I thought I would ever get - Big Thanks ! to all my RL homies that have subscribed to the channel ! I really appreciate it.

All in all, a successful day - fun with Aaron, ABS worked 100% and got a work out, got to gain some experience on a wet/dry track and had a lot of fun. The track had standing, or running water running across it in a couple places and then big sections of damp/dry - it was really pretty fun to work on driving to the track. First session best 1:33.6. Improved in the 2nd session to a 1:29.8 and in the last cut short session ended up with a 1:27.4.
The only down side was breaking the zip tie that secured the shift cable to the R,1,3,5 selector about mid-way through the last session ending my day just a little bit short of complete.
The car is so much better without the PSM, I'm convinced there's half a second improvement without the PSM induced braking events in dry conditions. Also, the +/- lap time indicator lights worked awesome, meant I could spend even less time looking at the data on the dash. Now that I have that info along with the alarms for things like oil pressure and the oil and water temps etc... all triggering an LED, it's a glance at what LED's are lit and the shift lights - really cool to be able to concentrate on the driving and not have to worry about any of that stuff.
Aaron was killing it in the VW today - lots of people checking out the supercharger under the hood

Here's my new, hopefully permanent fix for the shift cable popping out of its bracket.
Also, started on getting the elements out of the cats - what a **** job this is... I keep telling my self...nice cats are 2K - persevere ! No final pics - the weather drove me out of my "doing **** work" workshop - the front yard so I figured I'd take a break.

Yeah, they are stealing cats off of cars here in Chicago for the internals.
Looking forward to hearing them!

Here in Bama thieves will take a Sawzall and cut the cats off cars in the Grocery Store parking lot. Owners will crank up to leave and their cars sound a lot louder..lol

Hah...
Nothing like the sound of a free flow exhaust on a Honda civic.
