Motor mounts on my '99, they looked old and worn out. Can't wait for the test drive when the rain stops!

I ordered a master kill switch.
I'm going with a Cartek GT.

If there's interest, I'll document the install for a 996/986.

^^ Why ? Are you eating batteries ? Is it a security issue? Or, are you just looking for something else to do to the car?

Mostly something else to do to the car / track safety.
Probably few people here will want to install one unless they're building an SP996 or SpecBoxster.

Default Not me!

My sister's wife (yeah I know) hit my 996 with her tundra yesterday, they were here to surprise me driving all the way from Colorado, when I came home after work, I was definitely surprised! 😐

Ouch!
At least it doesn't look like they did much damage.
Take off the bumper and try popping out the dent from behind.
Shouldn't be "too expensive" to fix.

That sucks Ricky.
Depending on how bad it is you could try pouring boiling hot water over the dent then put a Bathroom plunger over the top and see if you can suck the dent out.
There are some You Tube videos showing how to do it. I guess it will depend on how deep the dent is and if it punctured.
Might be worth a try.

Got the car back from corner balancing and alignment of my Öhlins setup.

I had previously had the car aligned upon initial install of the Ohlins at the Porsche dealer, it was relatively economical and they could do it on short notice.

Now that spring is here (at least I thought it was, it snowed this AM) I decided to spend the money to get the car properly dialed in before I swap out the smoked Sumitomos for some higher grade rubber.

Could not feel it out on the way home as it was pouring and the above mentioned smoked sumis were not lending a lot of confidence to any type of spirited driving in the conditions, although I can attest the alignment works sweet for hooning donuts in a empty parking lot with a muffler-less flat six wailing away.

Car weighs in at 3008 LBS with a half tank of fuel which I am pretty happy about with only minor weight reduction up to now.

Why are you running 31 lbs of air pressure in the fronts and 30 in the rear?

Good question, not sure what they were set to prior to dropping off, should have been around 40R and 33F, had not checked in a while.

Corrected now though.

I wasn’t in love with the all black hood crest I just installed a week or so ago so I swapped it out again... I have a problem and I think I need help.
