This will be interesting because I haven't assembled a model since the last flu pandemic in 1918.

Ended up building the LEGO GT RS and Porsche RSR during the stay at home. It was a lot of fun, I’ve never been really good at traditional model building.

I have one of those models, except mine didn't come with a Carlsberg.
I painted all the yellow bits gray a year ago, but haven't put it together yet.
There's a drip on the body near the sideskirts that I need to take care of first.

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered it and planned on painting it Arctic Silver. When I saw that it was already yellow right out of the box I decided to leave it be. My painting skills suck.

This morning I installed my new 70mm studs.

Here’s the difference in size:

The old 56mm studs:

Don’t the 3 month old(~2000miles) Pagid rotors look nice?

Size difference:

Size difference: haha optical illusion!

56mm studs with 10mm spacer...the lug nut was only 3/4 on the threaded part of the stud:

70mm studs with 10mm spacer, the lug nut is fully within the threaded part of the stud. Several threads are beyond the lug nut. Much safer IMHO.

Finished up replacing some hoses and parts to stop coolant leaks:

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ant-leaks.html

Replaced the rear headlamp level sensor mount and hooked the linkage back up:

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...this-part.html

Got some great help on these two project from forum members. Thanks all!

Of course, as I was finishing up, I found more issues. Found this on the floor under the car and figured out it's a stop in the transmission mounting part 996 375 255 05, so I'll be ordering two of those--the one still on the car looks bad too.

Went for a 90 minute drive with my wife who is recovering from spinal surgery while awaiting a covid-19 delayed stem cell transplant. Absolutely beautiful day here in NJ. Sunroof open, windows down, music playing. She has been basically house bound since October and she said the drive today made it one of her nicest days in a long time. Passenger seat hit and didn’t hit her in exactly the right spots. So much nicer when we can enjoy our 4s together.

Cleaned the brake dust off my recently refurbished and ceramic coated rims. Also cleaned about 500 miles worth of bugs off the XPEL front end.

Installed these Top Gear 200 cell sport cats (not really today, but last Friday). Good fit, finish and quality.

Interesting, I think someone else said their set was slightly off. Getting any codes?

I have the same one! Never had any code or fitment issues. I changed the O2 sensors at the same time.
