I had a friend who had a restored bronco in that color. It drove like complete and total ****. I think he paid like $30k for it.
What's with these $250,000pieces of ****?

State and local "guv-mint" is on to the rise in values. I just got my yearly registration and property tax notice for the C2S and the total is about 40% higher than last year! I dare not complain because their vauation is half what it's worth in today's market.

It’s pretty absurd how all over the map these prices are considering condition and miles are not that dramatically different on a 25 year old car.

Interesting your tax is based on current value. Ours is based on a depreciated value from new. My 993 and my SC are fully depreciated in the eyes of the state. So tax on my son’s 2016 Honda is four times the tax on either Porsche. The tax on my 993 is only about $25 a year. Now my 2020 X3M tax is a totally different story.

I knew I shouldn't have moved from Wichita back in '73!

property tax? What is this you speak of. In my state we only pay sales tax upon purchase then reg fees very 2 - less than $200 no matter the car and annual inspection $25.

I used to live in North Carolina. They love taxes up there.

I'm in CT & my registration did not go up. Registering as a classic vehicle (20 years old) drops your taxes to $16 no matter what the value.

What do people think that the selling difference on BaT was (other than miles on the odometer) between this 95 3.6L black/tan cab that sold for $73K at https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...1-carrera-101/
and the 96 3.8L white/tan cab that bid to $47K but didn’t meet reserve at
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-cabriolet-28/
Do you think it was color preference, timing of having multiple bidders wanting the black 993 or what are people’s thoughts?

Just took a quick spin through the links...first car is midnight blue, that's a big difference than black., and more desirable than white (I can say this cause I own a white car)...also interior condition is much nicer on that car, plus presentation, plus miles, plus wheels, plus, plus, plus...
