There was a guy in socal who had a wide body conversion done to a silver Targa as well but I don't think it's the same car. He's since passed away and was sold.
That black 11k mile 98 C2S on pcarmarket should bring very strong money. Super low miles, paint meter consistent, car looks factory, and check out the options list. That interior is awesome. I have a similar interior in my black 97 C4S with the hardbacks and red belts and deviated stitching. It should be really interesting to see where this one ends up.
the gloss black hardbacks are sexy AF. i agree, should do extremely well.
That might be the only “mod” besides the factory 030 suspension and turbo S ducts as I don’t see it on the window sticker. Looks so good. I have the regular hardbacks in my black car but full leather and full carbon and no sunroof and 5x the miles lol
Are you directing us to the yellowish seam sealer? This car appears to be posted by Gaswerks. Many here seem to hold him in the highest regard. Do others agree with this assessment? FWIW factory paint in the trunk is often just a misting over primer. I am not an expert on the welds.

I think this side by side speaks for itself.
Left side is the Pcar 993 vin ending 993
Right side is my car
Even the front clip is a different color
Pull back the carpet and check your 993 - I do not think you’ll see anything like the left image.
Nothing against the seller. Maybe they dont know? My experience is even the most highly regarded sellers end up with bad cars that need to be sold.
I’m just trying to save a fellow rennlister from an expensive mistake. Or at the very least allowing a potential buyer to have a chance to look closer at this area…

This is not normal. The frunk should have misted paint matching the exterior covering all the seams and welds. No it's not a high quality finish in there, but it's certainly not nasty yellow seams and mismatched color panels. If the seller is not disclosing these pics and the story behind them - they are NOT to be trusted.
