Holt isn't exactly known for underpricing his cars...

I’ve been giving this car some consideration. Are you implying that there might be something fishy with the car or just that BaT prices are nutty?

In my experience, it's highly unlikely for Holt to list prices. This car would have struggled to get $90k two years ago.

Is there some knowledge about this car that it’s bad? I’m sure they have a nice profit margin built in.

holt is certainly not known for suspect cars. not every WB we see for sale it perfect though, even though they might appear that way. maybe this one has some minor cosmetic issues or something holt simply doesn't want to remedy.

There has to be a reason this car is so underpriced in current market, I always recommend Holt, but one thing I will give Tarek307 kudos on is his details when he makes an ad, Holt and most other dealers don’t do this, notice Tarek’s last listing for example
https://phidelt.wixsite.com/96c4s
explaining paint work and reasoning, providing carfax with VIN I believe the car at Holts has something going on that’s not disclosed in the listing, and Tim Holt I’m sure will be upfront and give details but you’d have to contact him first.

That Holt car looks super clean in photos. The seats look unusually pristine for a 58k mile car, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything sinister.

Price is absolutely below FMV. There is no free lunch. Question is whether the reason for the lower valuation is actually that big a deal.

Re: FMV, I feel like it’s tough to ascertain that. Clearly BaT has been good at pushing values up, but there is clearly variance in price between very similar cars even on BaT. Enough to make people scratch their heads when trying to establish comps with other results. Also, PCarmarket results seem to suggest that this Holt car is priced around market.

Agree that BAT inflates market values, though, to be fair, that car (assuming no stories) would probably sell for $150k+ on BAT.

I hear you. BaT definitely has a way of pushing prices upward. Pretty incredible to watch actually.

Nope, not implying anything; but agree w/ general consensus that Tim is up-and-up and if inquired, he would likely disclose undesirables, if any.
That said, he perhaps could've included the Carfax, which can provide much insights...

just seems strange to go up +10% when already approaching ceiling values?

Some people just want the car. Know its value and offer what they feel its worth and they can afford. Auction knockout. Auction over.
It's a demoralizing tactic for those creeping at $1000 increments. Maybe he had another meeting to go to
