I would love to see those pictures. This is what I received from the seller last April. Mind you, I had to find out that the title was branded as salvaged on my own. When I said I was passing, this was the response I received.

"Yes it was basically an insurance scam the tires were in water and the guy claimed it to the insurance no real water damage
Paint is all original
No water above the wheels"

buyer beware…

That’s crazy. The top of the wheels is even with the glove compartment. You could have 2’ of water inside and make that statement.

Hopefully not likely given how clearly CarFax states the flood/branded/rebuilt title issue occurring so recently (Feb 2021)...
You'd think someone spending high 5-figures on a WB 993 would at least check the CarFax, even if not sufficiently knowledgeable to pay for a PPI.

If seller paid $63k for it, perhaps a $75k offer subject to PPI wouldn't be so bad which, if checked out OK, would make a good low-mileage driver. Would never make $$ on it, but may make a good case as a long term driver.

Not to mention most of the engine.

Pictures on the auction site from February 2021 clearly show the entire car covered in a layer of silt or dried mud. There's evidence of water spotting on the odometer gauge cover The car sits among a few total wrecks.
Caveat Emptor, in very high gear.

I just went back and read that Carfax report. It’s very clear this is a salvage title car; but I would still like to see it mentioned in the description if they’re asking almost $108k. Maybe they can offset this negative press by describing it as a rare 993 that at one point was “water cooled”.

Just as FYI....that earlier black 993 with the front end reconstruction showed up on Instagram via a listing on porschemarketplace. Listed there as being sold by gaswerksgarage.

Damn, my C4 isn't even an S and I'm tempted to put it up for sale lol. Selling prices are nuts but that also means a replacement 993 will be nuts.

Wow, then yes, I'd say stay away.
BTW, any chance you can share those pics here?

Put the Vin # in Google Search. The 1st item that appears, https://bid.cars, brings up this mud-caked former beauty and its surrounding unfortunate siblings.
