I've seen 993 s or 993 4s go for around 300 K with much higher mileage.

If you know Canepa, there is not much guessing. This 993s would be in the range of at least 250 K but rather 280 K.

A blue one with slightly more miles was (is?) listed at $295k. So likely it's over three hundo.

Nah, 993 Turbo is a very manageable car. It's not a 1989 911 Turbo widow maker with a single giant DUMP of power that civilian drivers didn't know how to expect or handle.
The twin turbo power was much more linear and the AWD system, understeer, etc. kept it under control.

Can someone tell me why this car commanded such a high price? I'm just curious.
Shouldn't it have turbo twists?
No original stereo.
Paint work.
Mods to the front lights, etc.

Is the sunroof delete and lower miles account for the +$200k price?

20K miles is low. Great color combo. Wide body S with sport seats. Sunroof delete is desirable.

But it doesn’t hurt to have two parties bidding. Both have bought multiple cars (including 993s) and they’ve also outbid each other on prior cars.

So maybe a bit over market because of the bidding but not crazy.

in the sale thread one of the thread posters said that there were only 299 Carrera S outfitted with Aerokit II from the factory.
Can anyone confirm that?

I don't know the data but it seems reasonable. There were ~1750 C2S made. That would be around 17% of the total.

The number of produced 993 s is 3011 as LHD models. That include the xx number of American and Canadian delivered cars.

I suppose it depends a lot on the condition/value of the car and the condition and quality of the seats, whether they are factory and original to the car (373/374 option), or OEM added vs. Waldemar added, etc. Maybe 5-10k, if you are talking about factory hardbacks that are also factory painted (XSA option) and in great shape on a low mileage car, a lot more..

Frankly, I don't believe sports seats will add too much value to a 993. A car is always a combination of condition, maintenance records, ownerships and mileage to name the most important ones.
When you buy a car - you buy the whole package, with or without sports seats.

I believe, that sports seats, separated from a 993 are worth more than if they are included with the purchase of a 993.
In that case the value is probably around 5 - 10 K.

Just think about the turbo spoiler from the 993 TT. My car has the original turbo spoiler fitted to WB 993 4s, does that mean I would get the extra value for the highly expensive spoiler?
