It is not false, it is coming. This has been verified multiple times now.

Completely different cars and in the .2 version - actually the complete opposite

1) single eturbo vs regular twin tirbo
2) hybrid vs ice
3) No manual in GTS
4) Differen suspension
5) Different brakes
6) Less weight

Yeah, with this logic a GT3 is just a Carrera T with a 4.0 engine and current Turbo is just a 4S with a larger engine! An extra $80,000 please sir!

They Turbocharged the entire range then detuned their power output by 25% just so they could charge a massive premium for the most powerful models that actually carry a “Turbo” badge.

They produced an EV that doesn’t even have an engine and badged the most highly tuned model as a “Turbo” just so they could sit it at the top of the range and charge a premium for it.

Now people are excited about a “Manual Turbo” when we’ve had manual turbos since the 991.2 gen. What you’re excited about is a manual car with a “Turbo” badge on the back.

The world is full of the buyers they love, all waving their cash. Lol.

Don't forget that you're one of those buyers Mr. Macha! I sense a .2 Targa upgrade in your future...

I have an allocation for the last non-hybrid TT in the 2025 Model year.

I plan to wait 2-3 years before buying a 992.2 as I doubt the rush production will do well. It's not a normal change that all 911 owners have experienced. It's a change required by Government Rules. Most of the rule makers fly around the world in private jets.

I get screwed by the private jet guys?

If this means I could spec out a car similar to a SC at half the price (with SC ADM), I'm all for it! 😂

Like what the 911R was to the GT3 Touring.

It does seem a lot like the 911R situation. I'm sure Porsche knows what they're doing. Make a product people desperately want, make it a numbered, limited production special they can sell for a bunch more than a standard model, then sell a similar formula as a standard model for the next iteration to satisfy everyone who wasn't willing to pony up special edition money the first time around.

It's a shame this won't tank Sport Classic values to burn all the speculators, but as long as they keep on making the standard model I guess I can't complain that much. Now do the S/T!

They are testing the market. Additionally, the Turbo can’t compete with the TTS. It’s almost non existent as a model. This make absolute sense. A manual TT and a PDK TTS beast. I’m not sure about the RWD part yet.

I think you have hit on the opportunity. How many Turbos do they sell versus Turbo S? Seems like if you want the Turbo model, most people just spend the extra to get the S. I'm sure there's actual stats out there but I'm guessing Turbo S to Turbo sales are 3:1?

By making the Turbo a manual it's now giving a reason for people to buy this model. And you just increased the average sale price by pushing people that did want a manual from a GTS to a Turbo. And for those that wanted a traditional Turbo in a PDK, now they have to buy the Turbo S. Average sale prices just went up across the board. Win-win for Porsche.

It's kind of surprising that other brands haven't embraced the manual novelty. A limited edition Ferrari or Lamborghini with a 6-speed manual in 2025, would all blow out.
