Yes. And I’m sure Lambo, Ferrari and McLaren prices are also going up.

as much as i love porsche, there is no way i would chose turbo s here.
Well optioned new turbo s cabrio will be surely a 300k euro car here. It is 260k+ now anyway. It is kind of already very expensive. But imho it is the only one that can be used as a daily and also has space and back seats.

That’s a bummer and an unfortunate move away from their heritage.

between the major price increases, low allocation numbers, and things like losing the Le Man style key, I’m beginning to think that the current Porsche management wants to now be Ferrari.

Porsche owned the $100,000 world between MB and Ferrari. I’m not sure it’s worth it to give up that large lucrative niche.

Porsche made plenty of money selling sports cars between 130K to 230K as no one was in that space.

130k-230k has now (sadly) become 200-300k. And the level above them has just gone higher.

So If you have an issue with your Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche.. a blown engine , or something critical,
which manufacturer do you trust the most to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

Any car can have a potential serious issue, the question is which boat would you want to be in when it springs a leak.

Im satisfied with Porsche, and will bet on German over Italian regardless of a 7 year warranty.
its how the issue is resolved as well as if it’s resolved or not.

Probably I will trust Ferrari before Porsche for the amount of money spent (comparable price within 20%). Porsche 996, 997 models have had major engine issues. Porsche as far as I know never addressed these and never issued a recall. Buyers were stuck with fixing all of the issues themselves after warranty period. Even during warranty period I remember a lot of the 996 owners were being denied claims. There might have been some arbitration processes etc. It has been long time.

I really like Porsche. I had a 2011 Cayenne S and a 2016 GT4. When the GT4's were having problems with 3rd gear blowing, I mentioned it to my dealership and they said to not track the car or drive it aggressively. I was confused because it was a GT product and I thought that was what made Porsche GT cars special. To make a long story short, my dealership and PCNA never responded any further as more 2016 cars were having problems. I didn't want to have to pay for it out of pocket to get fixed and I ultimately sold the car. I don't know if any recalls where eventually done, but I didn't want to risk it.

Right, if it is going to be a start/stop button just go ahead and put it on the center console.

I agree. Might as well and make it completely generic.

@Defrag Is this confirmed? Pretty nice bhp bump.

When does it launch? A couple of months after S and GT3?

To be honest looks like BMW caught the drift of the situation and is positioning into that market segment - daily use cars with track capabilities (M CS series, m3/m4 CS are almost same time as 992.1 GTS /Turbo S times on Nurburging, while way way cheaper and being super useable daily with 450L trunks).

More then that start stop I really hope they changed the center shifter, or at least for the love of god - give us an extra paid option to upgrade shifter to GT style where we can manually change the gears without just using shifters behind the wheel.

I can bet that option would be as popular as sport chrono and basically auto buy, no clue how they dint think to milk that for $$
