What are the odds the 992.2 cones with a backup camera that isn't McDonald's quality? I'd love to retrofit to 992.1 if possible.

Quite high. The 360 ones in the 2024 Cayenne are excellent imho. Then again maybe my expecations are low but they do the job very well.

And it was always an option to delete the acid green accents for $0.

Exclamation

I have been listening to the most recent Spike’s Car Radio this morning and Jonny Lieberman mentioned that the press drives for the 992.2 are being held in Spain towards the end of June. My best guess is the press embargo does not expire for another 2 to 3 months after that.

Jonny will be in attendance as he has received the press invite from Porsche.

*Edit: The aforementioned Spike’s Car Radio Episode = Patrick Long and Joerg Bergmeister at 27 mins 30 sec to 28 mins 15 secs.

@silversurfer6 thank you for all the info. I have seen speculated power figures for the S and GTS. Are there any speculations on the power figures for the TT and TTS?

to be honest, the dillema is not going to be with 4s/gts models, but with turbo s. New fully loaded Turbo S will be close or even same price as new huracan, and more expensive then mclaren artura. Or similiar price to used 296gtb with 5k milage and <2 years on it.

as much as i love porsche, there is no way i would chose turbo s here.

I have no experience with the Huracan, Ferrari, or McLaren, so genuinely curious to hear from owners: is 911 reliability that much better than the above? Someone who owned 3 Ferraris posted that the Ferraris were excellent, but if I get into a position where I can pick amongst those choices, would like to make a somewhat informed decision. Note: I live in a small town where the nearest dealerships for those cars is probably 2.5-3 hrs away.

No clue for lambo at the moment, but all new ferraris come with full 7 year warranty + maintance (minus tires/pads/rotors obv), and starting with artura, all new mclarens come with 5 year service as well.

I had a friend who tracked his huracan no problem, and I also had a friend with gt3 touring who had to had entire engine and trasmission replaced with 1300km total on the car. All comes down to just bad luck I guess.

Generally I think hand manufactures will have more small problems with builds compared to Porsches anyway, as mass factory builds are generally more thorough.

Your friends will be alot more impressed with you if you have a Ferrari than a Porsche. Thats what this is about , not about the better car.

things going for Porsche as compared to other exotics
better dealer network across most of the country
better perceived reliability, though I am starting personally to doubt that as it seems on RL there is a thread every couple of weeks on a blown engine . I don't see that on Bimmerpost or MB world
I personally have experience with Ferrari and Lambo with no issues. The problem with issues again is connected directly to dealer network
but as Porsche prices keep creeping upwards to exotic territory , I think people's tolerance to other exotic brands reference dealership will increase in particular for people that drive these cars on weekend

were the recent ADM situation bull**** in USA comparable to what was always going on with ferrari dealerships and exactly why J Leno refused to ever buy a ferrari?

'buy a roma or california, then you might buy 812' -> buy 3 taycans to get a gt3rs or pay 50k$ adm for gt3?

heard a lot of stories here and on youtube, dunno how close it was to reality for porsche dealers in USA.

they drive completetly different, not comparable. Both are closer to gt3 in terms of driving, sharper and more brutal. 720s is nuts to drive, this car scared me but build quality was terrible.

Those are all great vehicles but no have the daily drivability of a TTS.

Noticed that on my wife's 2024 Cayenne. It was our first Porsche and can't say a part of my soul didn't cry when I noticed it the first time. Looking forward to my first 911 this year with the old start mechanism!
