I keep reading that the T is lighter than the base. That may be true, but it's insignificant when you compare PDK to PDK. The weight savings that come from lightweight battery, less sound deadening, and potential rear seat delete are fairly low. Going with the 7MT will be the biggest difference in weight savings. Technical specs for the base show 8.8lb/hp and the T 8.6lb/HP, which I'm guessing they are using the 7MT to get that number. Even then, a .2 difference is probably not going to be felt. Having said all that, I would love to see a 992 base and a 992 T (PDK) weighed (with same tank levels). That would be more of a good comparison. Otherwise, it's all guesses.
My order created date updated this morning from early January to Friday...All options appear to still be on build. My production and delivery dates did not move. (though they did move out a few weeks in late January.) Anyone else's order created date change over the weekend?

Yup, my order created date changed to 2/10 from 1/31, originally 1/4. My lock date also moved up 3 days to 2/15. All other production/shipping dates have stayed the same all along.

My guess is that Porsche did not bother redoing the weight certification for the -T and simply certified it as a variant of the base 992 for the official weight spec. I however found the below weight waterfall chart to be interesting. If you consider the 7MT-PDK difference at 77lb, it means the other +/- translate to ~23lb. Assuming 32lb for the battery, 9lb for the lightweight glass and ~25lb for the rear seat (and seatbelt) delete, there is ~43lb of added weight from the larger wheels, LSD, S-PASM and PSE.
What do you mean upgraded lighthing? Isnt pdls and pdls+ the same except for the swivel and cornering?
I love Spyder wheels so that's a must have option.
I believe one of Nick Murray's video on options said the 911 is not well lit. Ambient lighting is not my preference but looking at ot as a practical option given my 7 and 4 year old. Unless my understanding is wrong.
My wife is a big fan of 911s. Had posters in her room when she was young. Spyder wheels, sunroof and ionizer are her requests. Sunroof might be a good change after CF roofs on M3/M4 for 6 years.
They are the same on 992. What I mean is on my other cars I only got the swivel lights because it was part of the upgrade package to get better lighting like LED.
Ambient lighting is a big plus. I have it on my order too.
Am I missing something important? 15 FZ4 Seat Belts in Racing Yellow 540.00
- I would order the yellow chrono and tacho as well in this combination. Will look beautiful with the yellow seatbelts.
- About the PDLS+: many don’t know this comes along with a chrome ring around the headlights. If you don’t like that skip it. However, it is hardly noticeable.
- Ambient lightning: it’s not as special as some other brands that do this way better. It’s pretty disappointing to me. No beams. Just a few colored lightbulbs.
I experienced this ambient lighting feature on a 750 loaner-I dimmed the white light as much as possible. Running through the color choices once was fun, then it wasn't.

Do we know what spec is used to measure weight? Is it a zero option T?
Is the lightest possible weight T a car with only buckets, carbon roof, and titanium wheel bolts? We don't really know what that car would weight though?
