Brilliant idea, you have just anticipated me. I’m definitely up for that, you are also welcome to stop by Basel whenever you want. Wouldn’t be also cool to have a videoconference organized in few weeks so we can share the first impressions of our freshly delivered T? Happy also to share some detailed video/pictures (i.e. exhaust button) as soon as I pick up my car, in less than 30 days 🥳

PPF QUESTION!
Porsche UK are quoting me £6.5k ($7.5k) to PPF the whole car and half of that for frontage, mirrors and hips.
A local company with good reputation quoted me £3.5k and £1.5k respectively.
Unless getting it done locally invalidates the paintwork guarantee I'm gonna get it done these.
Any thoughts??

So excited for my race-tex wheel, shifter and arm rest... I know its a cheaper material, I know people dont think it holds up well... But I personally cant wait to get it on track and enjoy the grippy feeling (and I don't mind the extra work to maintain it)... it looks Killer!

I am in.
We can try to contact Porsche Museum and ask them if they would allow us to park the cars, even if only for a short period of time, on that area in front of the entrance. Just an idea, it doesn't have to be Stuttgart.

As noted above, 100% "first world problem" (tho that doesn't mean Porsche should keep lying about it & teasing those of us who want it). It only matters if you want a special/historic paint color on your new 911 (and you're willing to fork over an additional $11k for it).
As we saw with a couple other guys checking yesterday, I got confirmation from my dealer today that PTS is still unavailable, as expected (I had to ask).

Unfortunately I don’t have an allocation yet. I’d guess that those with an allocation and accepted build should be ok but I wouldn’t bet on anything.

I find that the independent shops who do this all day every day at their own locations tend to be the best in the business... Your quote from Porsche does seem high, but I have heard of others on here recently post higher numbers.
The place I plan to have mine done at is a fantastic independent shop, and I am quoting from memory but I believe the said $2500 for Front + Rockers/wheel arches, and for a full car PPF it was around $5500 and ceramic included

I also talked to someone knowledgeable in NA corporate who said PTS will be unavailable for all 2023. And suggested a few things that we are seeing…that other things are changing and being pulled back. One thing I was told to confirm is that my T interior package has the viper green belts as that may get dropped from the package.
Unfortunately I don’t have an allocation yet. I’d guess that those with an allocation and accepted build should be ok but I wouldn’t bet on anything.

I for one went racing yellow belts, so I assume those will be safe! Car is locked, so I think I would have heard by now if anything was getting cut... but you just never know!

It's the torque that makes the difference in a S, especially in a manual car. The extra power is nice of course but watch the boost gauge and you see it's hardly ever used.
