992 Carrera T Club
Who had GT3 Side Skirts put on the T? I remember seeing in the thread pics from @shane_b with them, did anyone else do it yet? I had contacted my dealership today about getting them put on before I collect the car. Haven't gotten the amount yet. Couple of questions for the group when you all have a moment:
1. Did you get the OEM ones from Porsche (GT3 Side Skirt Set SKU: PQ69315), if so, how well do they match the Agate Gray that the T comes with?
2. How hard was it to install? Or if you had the dealer do it, how many labor hours did they quote you?
Thanks!

I’m delighted with them and they match up nicely! I think it gives the car a lovely stance… I notice them every time I go in the garage! Even my wife agreed it was a good upgrade!

They were OEM and supplied by the dealership and they fitted while I waited… took no time at all.

2000 mile update
Well after a month of ownership, I finally reached 2000 miles last week. I somehow had the restraint to not rev past 4k and maybe hit 5k once when having to pass a few cars on a single lane road for the first 2000 miles. Winding the T out to 7.5K RPM in 3rd gear to approximately 120 mph is like driving a whole new car. The exhaust sound is intoxicating and it's really fast!
It sounds and feels like a NA car....almost GT3 like. Had a chance to drive a 992 GT3 on a track day and the power and sound of the T is honestly similar.
Watched a youtube video of a 992 oil change, looks easy enough. Ordered a oil change kit from FCP Euro and plan to change it ASAP now that the break in is complete.
If you plan to PPF the front, do it ASAP and don't wait until you have 1300 miles on the car like I did. Just a few little nicks here and there....but I should have just been patient and waited until my appointment. Having the ceramic coat is great, especially here in FL where the car eats bugs. They just come right off when washing.
I know everyone is complaining about the base stereo. A week ago I would have told you it's awful, but I think I found the correct settings to now call it ok and borderline good. Whenever I get a compact rental car with a cheap sound system I always adjust the treble to a notch or two below max and set the bass down to the middle. I also had it set this way in the T and it just didn't sound good. Counter intuitive to my rental car logic, I now have the bass up to max, and the treble just a little above half way. Picture attached. Sounds waaaay better, now has some depth, bass surprisingly isn't distorted and the treble is nice and clear. Curious to see what others think after they try it out.
Also attached is a picture of my new cheesy personalized plate. I think only Porsche and car guys will get it....that was the intent anyway.
The T is such an incredible car and is so fun to drive. The wait is well worth it! If you already have one, I have no doubt you're enjoying it as much as I am.

No SD for me. My original order had de decal and emblem delete. I put them back in because they're easy enough to remove if I decide to do so.
