Yea, as I said, it certainly sounds plausible - I'd say I'm curious to discover if there really is a sound level difference as far as a T with & without rear seats but then ppl would just take it the wrong way and think I'm being obsessive when it's really just a bit of nerdy curiosity.

I literally just said I have zero stress about it - and gave "proof" by saying I added the rear seats to my own T build (which froze today). I am just nerdy about numbers so just for fun was curious when the numbers didn't appear to add up.

Correct... The 991.2T had the button, and any 992 that has sport exhaust also has it... I honestly am at the point where I also think that the T is going to show up with the button as well, but the damn configurator led to that conversation with my SA... Which in turn led to the conversation with the Porsche North America representative claiming that it was in fact correct that unless you option the exclusive tailpipes, the T will have 2 Custom buttons (that can be programed for exhaust if you so choose)... OR exclusive tailpipes designate the second button with the exhaust image...
FOR ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED, I SAY WE PLACE A BET ON THIS...lol
I'm now leaning towards saying the Porsche NA representative is full of it.... This is a pivot from my original stance over the last 3 months... but screw it

This entire website is for having fun, debating these topics, and NERDING out over Porsche stuff... Lord knows ive spent FARRR too much time the last 3-4 months debating stuff that just doesnt matter haha. At the end of the day we all should just be thankful that we can spend our time doing precisely what we are doing! Here's to friendly debates and a common Love for the brand!

Absolutely - just nerding out. Folks were having fun (or so it seemed) discussing the base Carrera weight vs the T so I thought I'd throw out the inexplicable T vs S weight difference for anyone who might be interested in having fun trying to figure it out.

It is fun to nerd out on these stats. But if anyone wants to take lightweighting seriously, it starts with what's between the seat and the steering wheel! Now where'd I put my chips? 😉

I just received an email from Porsche informing me that the car is about to be produced. I got a link to MyPorsche App where I can see the phases of production (actually just 2 for CH).
I’ll keep you posted as soon as I receive some more details.

Too late to change now; lock date was 3 days ago. Not stressing, whatever happens, happens.

Apparently your SA has around 10 days after lock to make changes. My SA is adding the dashcam wiring in for me and I locked last week.

This won't risk your aerokit? And yes, in most situations the SA can get something added in the time between lock and scheduled for production phase.. but the second it goes into "scheduled for production" they wont be able to accept anything is what I've heard.

This is geek-interesting. So in CH the App shows 2 step process.

In the UK the app shows 5-steps: Order created - driving at Silverstone - development process - exclusive preview - final steps before delivery

In the US, the guys can also see the shipping across the ocean.

I wonder if it will be standardised across the markets.
