Tire Rack says original equipment for the 2023 Carrera T is Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, or Pirelli PZero. Their consumer reviews also rank these three tires in that order: the PS4S is best in class, the Eagle F1 has ratings 92% as good as the PS4S, and the PZero has ratings 90% as good as the PS4S.

Yup.. since they released the 992, its been a game of chance for what tires you get... I have had all 3 types of tires on my two 911s... The Michelin are the ONLY ones I would choose to buy, as they are far and away the best... I actually think I would pick Pirelli next, and a distant 3rd place for me was the goodyear. Plenty of people think they are fine, but for track driving/more aggressive road driving I could not EVER find grip in the goodyear... I would spin the tires and have excessive sliding on track, so FINGERS are crossed that I get one of the other two.

Interesting... I use the PS4S on the street and Eagle F1 Supercar 3R on the track for my GT350, so I respect both. (I also have the PZero on my X5, but hard to tell how good they are when they're on 21" wheels under a 5,000 lb vehicle.) That said, the Eagle F1 S3R (treadwear rating of 100) are probably a distant cousin at best to the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 (treadwear rating of 300) that come stock on the 911.

991.2T was also a game of chance between Michelin and Pirelli. Most folks wanted the Michelins but Pirellis proved to be better.

On the topic of wheels and tires, what are you considering for track or autocross days? Is a a set of base 992 19" and 20" wheels a good choice? The tire choices are much wider.
Are other any other 911 model wheels with proper offsets for the 992?

Previous 992 I had the Carrera Classic wheels 20/21 offset. I ran a few different setups, this is what I found:

1. Goodyear Eagle F1 that came with the car: I spent a few extra hours one day just trying to kill these tires because if I didn't kill them I felt like they were going to kill me lol. Thats obviously exaggeration, but I really did not like these tires on the street. Every time I would attempt launch control or any attempt to accelerate from a total stop I would kick on traction control and get a loss of power due to lack of traction. I also just did not have confidence in track driving because I lost a lot of grip in corners... So I took these off (5K road miles and then a full weekend 2-day track event).
2. Michelin Cup 2: What an incredible track tire... What a scary road tire when not warmed up... what a short lifespan haha... I only got 1 summer out of these because they really do not last very long, they are fantastic but not worth putting on a car that does both track and road driving.
3. The Michelin PS4S (Winner): I love this tire. I out it on my 992, 991, 987S, and currently on my Cayenne... It is the best all around performer for Supercar/Sportscars that want to de dedicated road driving and track days. The Cup 2 obviously is better on track, but I did not have the ability/tools/setup to be taking these on and off for track events (This is something I plan to do going forward)...
For anyone looking for the best grip, the best feel, limited road noise, and fantastic confidence inspiring handling, this would be my pick.

The best tire size/solution that I have heard from other Porsche guys is to go with a 19/20 set of rims, or see if you can get a square 19 setup that will work with the car... Lots of tire options in this size, slightly larger sidewall at that rim size and far cheaper to replace rubber on those vs the larger 21 rears that come on the car... I think this year I will just drive the car with the setup as delivered, but will invest in a set of track specific rims and tires (likely the Cup 2) that I will put on and off for the days Im going...
I kind of like these for the T track day... matches the agate..just dont know if the offset is enough, I think the rears need like 66mm or something like that

Did you notice tramlining with the Michelin Cup 2? I am picking up a 991.2 T next weekend that has Cup 2s. Great track tire, in my experience and as you said, but in my GT350 they tramline like crazy on the highway.
