I'm shocked that you are unaware of this. Kind of like how you were unaware of how many miles the 'break-in" was for the GT3 given how much time you spend in this forum.

I was watching the auction because the car came out of my dealership and I'm aware that the dealer is not happy.
But flippers gonna flip!
I knew the break in miles for the GT3 …

Never followed a car auction, I buy from my dealer.

My bad.
It was the rev limit during break-in.

the most eye popping thing is that the dealer gave up the manufacture certificate of origin to the first buyer ….. a dealer can lose their franchise if they do this …. It makes me think that your dealer is bill****ting with you of how upset they are and were in on this from the beginning .

This is a market value thread, of sorts. The dataset is composed of vastly more than what members of this forum are bidding on, despite what I'm sure are some pretty deep pockets on here. On the RS auction, honestly thought it would have a 5-handle and that reserve would be higher.

That's a pretty serious charge to make . . . even on an internet forum.
The MSO has to be given up on cash deals. To my knowledge, it was and was.
Period.

I guess I'm not really interested in the prices of cars unless I'm planning to buy or sell, except as indicator of what's happening with the brand, the industry, and the economy.

That's why people follow auction results.

While it's not a perfect reflection of the market (what is? not even Manheim is a perfect reflection), it is one data point. And more data, even imperfect data, is better than less data.

I’m not selling my house, but I pay attention to what my neighbors sell for.

Do you never look at your retirement portfolio, ever, since you’re under 60?

Rarely. We invest conservatively and are past our retirement goal. Was never in a mode to maximize income or wealth, just did work I liked doing and made sure we put money into savings every year (lived within our means), and over the course of many years it added up.

I don't say this combatively at all but isn't that the entire point of this thread though? If not interested in current pricing of the 992 GT3 it doesn't make much sense to pop in here. I've avoided this thread for many weeks for that reason until now.

Some people have too much time on their hands, RL is their only friend and they have to keep blurting stuff out - whether it makes sense or not. Dilutes so many good threads.
