Porsche is going to crank out 30% more 911s? Ok

I heard that from more than one source. Cayman/Boxster production is moving to a different factory so that capacity to produce 911s goes up. Makes total sense, 30% increase in production isn't a lot if Porsche is confident that the long-term demand is there.

It’s not there in China. So they’re all coming to USA.

I'd wager that 'holding value' is a concern mainly of people who hardly drive their cars. If you drive your car a lot, unless it's truly a collectible, the expectation would/should be that the car will depreciate. Hardly any of the Porsches being made today (GT3, 3RS, etc.) are collectible, since Porsche will keep making these sorts of cars at least for another decade.
On might argue that ICE Caymans and Boxsters will be collectible because that series is going all-electric, but these mid-engine cars have never had the draw of 911s, and I suspect that the all-electric ones are going to be really good.

The hardest one is the first, after that that I don't think twice about dropping $300K...
I also was told the first million you make is the hardest, then it comes pretty easy after that...

Somewhat off topic, but please indulge me:
It's only in the past year that I ever bought a car over $200k, which is something I thought I'd never do (and I wound up buying three such cars, none of which was traded in for something else). Still seems like a lot of money for a car to me, especially since I have cars worth less than $50k which I enjoy nearly as much.
Did you guys have significant psychological barriers to spending over $100k, $150k, $200k, etc. on cars? Or is the pricing all just a continuum to you?

I think I do have a psychological barrier at 7 figures but this still feels a little bit insane to me and I have to make sure I'm not dreaming some days. Objectively I don't think the car is worth nearly that much, but every time I get in and start the car and go for a drive I can't say I regret it even a little bit. The older I get and the more I see, the more I feel like life is just too short sometimes, if you can afford it just do it.
