I've been offered 300k for the car with 32k miles on it. I posted in the forums that it'd certainly have to be over 400k. If you are in the mid to high 400s for a car with 32k, send me a message. I am not trying to sell the car, but 500k would certainly take it today.

    993TurboS,
also had that text, but was too long, so here it goes:
I now know more about the "paint" of the turbo S wheels. I'll ppost when I understand the whole story with the chrome wheels.
German company ATS/SM, who confirmed that the "sm" logo is theirs, explained the process:

Its called "high gloss silver" or "dekor paint". It is manufactured by "Langwitzer Lackfabrik", "Cetelon" or "FreiLacke". Even gave me the exact paint code number, but added, that a normal car or rim paintshop can't do much with it, as the paint is especially formulated for the process that companies like ATS use, which is a high temperature burn in.

Its burned in at 220C with an "object temperature" of about 170C. Automotive paintshops have typical drying oven temperatures of 80C, and trying to dry that paint at 80C just wont work.

The temps sound to me like powdercoating, ill have to ask if its that.
So that's why probably noone can do it exacly and only some come close...

    Hi 993TurboS,
I do have a question for you:

Could you do me a favor and tell me what tray your turbo S has on the inside behind the handbrake? I am not sure what came ex works, as on mine the original tape radio was removed and replaced by a becker cd unit, whereupon a standard plastic center console tray was put in behind the handbrake. And that seems wrong, as it would be the only part in the whole interior not covered in leather.

If you have that tray or a cassette tray covered in leather, could you be so kind and shoot a couple of detailled pictures showing where they put the seams and how the seams look, so I can have a interior leather shop cover that plastic tray in leather such that it looks original? Would be great.

    Please send to jw@unibw.de

    Thanks a lot!

    993TurboS Goodmorning,

I'm interested in seeking out clear bra for my blk/blk and wanted to know if you opted to for PPF on your tts. If so, do you have a manufacture preference (VentureShield or Xpel)? Just curious how the PPF application has taken to the 993 vehicles. The vehicle is an 18,000 mi with some chips in the original paint.

    Thanks ahead for your input
    Carl

Hello Turbo S, I wanted to know if you were interested in possibly selling your car. If you wouldn't mind an offer please email me at maschein@gmail.com. Thanks, Mike

Mine is Metallic Black with black interior. I love the car and drive it without concern for the miles. I think they are still a good deal even at their current prices. I got mine from Richard Sloan in CT and told him that he could let me know if it got to the point where the TTS was more expensive than a Carrera CT; I might be willing to trade then.
