I can second that one, it's loony land here when it comes to Porsche pricing. I stopped by one of the dealers a few weeks ago to say hi and have an espresso. He was telling me stories of people that have bought 15+ cars from the dealership begging for a Carrera S allocation and can't get one.He was also ripping Porsche for all the Macans and Taycans they get sent and the fact the service department is backed up with said cars broken without parts availability.
This sort of thing will get people looking at other brands and used cars. That's what I've been doing.
I have a 2024 GT3 on the lake fuzion which is sitting outside the Panama Canal - and the schedule says the car will be at the dealer near San Francisco on October 4 but I am hoping it arrives at the dealer before Rennsport open in Monterey California on September 27 so I can drive the car to this once every five year event.
I paid $40,000 ADM - total msrp was $199,700 and the base price of course for 2024 was increased by around 8% which cost me a few options as I wanted to stay under $200,000 for the car and $240,000 with the ADM and then of course sales tax and license will push it up even higher.
I just took delivery of a 2023 911T ( rubystar neo) with the gloss black aerokit- it wil be interesting to see if the GT3 is worth over $100,000 more than the 911 T. The mock-up shoes the decals I have designed for the car which will get installed after the ppf.
I like the 911T with the aero gloss black kit better in terms of aesthetics - the aero wing is a much better design than the GT3 wing which is just bolted on and looks like a wing a 17 year old bolts on his Honda with the noisy exhaust. I will probably remove the wing and then the duck tail will show up better and this wing looks better than the typical 911 moving wing.

your Carrera T looks fantastic! Obviously, different strokes for different folks, but I’d take your Carrera T over the GT3 for $100k less! Great spec BTW.
I am likely going to agree with you on the 911 T - the best 911 I have ever driven. Truly the sweet spot in terms of ride comfort, sports car feel on the road, engine sounds, and finally price. The rear wing setup with the aerokit looks really nice and I like how air is funneled down in front of the wing right on top of the radiators. The GT3 is the holy grail 911 these days and this extra 100 hp and jazzed up suspension at the cost of $100,000 for myself and many owners prove somewhat meaningless compared to the 911 T aerokit car.
But I like all of us Porsche nuts has swallowed and gulped the cool -aid when it comes to the GT3 — many GT3 owners seem discover that this car is very cool to own and to impress friends in your local PCA region but not a car you want to drive to dinner or for a weekend trip. This is why almost every dealer has on the floor a very low mileage GT3 and there are usually several on BAT. Kind of like marrying the most talented stripper at your local girlie club with legs that never end, blonde hair down to her knees, flexibility like a gymnist and never says “no” - and once home doesn’t vacuum, or cook, drinks a lot, swears in front of Mom, and mostly likes to shop and spends endless money on her hair, fingernails, facials, massages and even quit her job as a stripper, mostly sleeps all day and a lot of the night, all on your credit card . But this is not the forum to bring up my bad decisions.
Could not say “no” on the GT3 allocation but I have this deja vu feeling that this GT3 is going to be another one of my emotional decisions that tried to force a square peg in a round hole.

Your sentiment between the T and the GT3 mirrors mine. I took delivery of a 991.2 T in Stuttgart, toured Germany and Austria in it. Should have never sold it. So much more practical than my GT3. The GT3 is the supermodel though.
Stopped by Newport Beach for service the other day. Had a new GT3 RS on the floor. Sticker was around $325k plus another $200k ADM. Really nicely spec'ed.

I’m in a similar situation. Have a aerokit C2S that is absolutely perfect in every way and has given me 22k miles of driving joy. I expressed interest in a GT3 after hearing and seeing them in Leipzig when I visited. He called me up with a buildable slot and I couldn’t say no. I’m afraid I am going to get rid of a perfect car for what could be less of what I enjoy about mine. Time will tell. Mine arrived 11/02.
Still have this one freezing 9/18 available. My guy at the store is pretty firm at 60k over MSRP.
Ben, anyone still looking at this point in production....who posts that they're willing to pay $50k over, would be foolish AT BEST, to pass on $60k over. If it were me, I'd nab this and stop chasing the deal.....
