If I were you, I'd start modding your 991.1 GT3 into a track beast. Get Dundon stuff and some suspension mods and it will be pretty killer as a track only animal for far less than getting a 992 GT3. Has your original engine been replaced? That's the only thing that is a "worry" with the .1.

For me - I'd love to have a 992 GT3 and my TT. I think they are very different animals and both can be enjoyed in very different ways on the street/canyons. I just need space - but if i were to add a sports oriented 911 for the road it would be the 992 GT3

And it has nothing to do with 99% of the people on this board, yet they repeatedly do it anyway.
It's not productive or helpful to anyone trying to obtain a GT car.

it’s not, but this isn’t helping folks make their own choices. These cars go for market rate except for a very tiny number of VIPs who are irrelevant to newer brand folks. If you want an allocation it’ll ALSO likely take months or even 1-2 years in ADDITION to the money. Or you can buy on bats, etc. If you have the money and are struggling to find what you want, a professional broker is probably worth it. If you want to keep buying the cars or more cars like it for years, you need a relationship with a local dealer which is way way more expensive than just getting a broker to find you the lowest priced adm allocation

Manifold has literally posted 220 TIMES since Xmas trying to "rationalize" his decision, as if it matters to anyone else here.

He repeatedly posts the same narrative over and over and over again.
Far too tone-deaf to even begin to understand how bad he looks.
He claims that car preference is subjective, yet spends 95% of his RL posts in an ADM thread telling people how to spend THEIR money.
It's terribly insecure and reeks of a need for validation.

He cares about how "others" spend their money and the CHOICES THAT THEY MAKE because he believes that it somehow impacts him.
If it didnt impact him, why would he be obsessing over what other people choose and what other people pay?

SIMILAR TO USC Trojan who repeats the same narrative over and over again in order to "flex" and show how "special" he is.
These self-centered narratives are bogus and have nothing to do with the average GT car buyer.

But they wont stop because they're too insecure and tone-deaf.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST TIME GT3 CAR BUYERS WITH NO RELATIONSHIP OR LIGHT RELATIONSHIP TO AUTHORIZED PORSCHE DEALER:

1.- Be ready to pay ADM. How much ADM is paid is tied to proper due diligence. Have cash in hand.
2.- Post on RL or other widely read Porsche forum that you are looking for a GT3 allocation and ARE WILLING TO PAY ADM. Replies in private.
3.- Be serious about purchase intent. Once replies are received evaluate quickly what best suits your needs.
4.- PAY ADM
5.- Order Car
6.- Wait
7.- Receive Car
8.- Don't rationalize or validate your purchase with ADM
9.- Drive car
10.- Be happy.
11.- Visit RL (or other posted forum, see step 2 above) and chuckle at same guys posting same things from 2+ years ago still waiting for ADM to disappear as MSRP increases..!!
12.- Chuckle again as no PTS, no Ceramic Brakes and other effects of supply chain issues make some options temporally not available.
13.- Drive car and realize how right you are not to care about what others think nor about paying ADM. See steps 1, 4 and 8 above.
14.- Drive Car again.
15.- Receive calls from authorized dealers expressing interest in purchasing your car at market value.
16.- Decline offers.
17.- Be happy. See item 10.
18.- As an alternate to item 2 a broker may be called so in that case start from step 4.
19.- As a second alternate a direct purchase may be done from the 150+ nationwide offerings of 992 GT3 cars or the weekly BAT or Pcarmarket online flipper auctions offered. In this case, skip steps 2 and 3, start at step 4, skip steps 6 and 9 through 18.
20.- Drive car
21.- Repeat step 10
22.- Own a viable trade in asset of interest for when 992.2 GT3 variants are released. Possibility of obtaining 992.2 GT3 at msrp with 992.1 GT3 trade in has increased.
23.- Repeat step 14.
24.- Repeat step 8.
25.- Repeat step 10.

EDIT: #8 should actually be entitled "Post Delivery Dealer Relationship" - - - Ask for clear side-marker lights to be included in your delivery.
Also ask for Porsche License Plate Frame as well, Part Number #709-004-45

No need to buy your dealership any BBQ, especially if they are located in Texas where it isnt that special anyway.

991.1 GT3 is really good without mods, that's why I didn't 'upgrade' to .1 RS, .2, or .2 RS. When the 992 GT3 came out and I saw that the lap time was a good bit faster than 991.1, I figured it makes sense to get a fresh GT3 to beat on if I can get it at MSRP (around $185k), but not worth it to pay big ADM to get it. My 991.1 has had the engine replaced twice, and also has a new transmission, so hopefully it's good to go for several years.

Not disagreeing on what it takes to get the 992 GT3. Just presenting thoughts on alternatives for people who want a Porsche sports car and it doesn't have to be a 992 GT3. I currently have several Porsche sports cars, and I don't consider any of them to be a "must have". They're just cars - toys.
