I've had several sessions in it at the BMW Performance Center at Thermal.

It's no GT3. Absolutely not.

Its a Deutschland hotrod in a gentleman's suit.

Budget for extra rubber. Traction and "full throttle" do not play well on this car.

Best comp? Would be the Shelby GT500.

The best M produced was the E46 M3 comp package.

Those are such hackneyed takes.

30 years from now, people like you guys will be saying the G80 M3 was the best when we're all driving EV hovercrafts and teleporting from one planet to another.

So, yeah, feel free to live in the here and now once in a while.

My dream cars are mid 2000s car because thats when I was in high school.

E46 M3 CSL
Enzo
CGT
Zonda

All my dream cars. Modern cars just dont do it for me but I guess grandpas feel the same way about those carburetor ferraris.

naw, in 30 years I’ll still be saying the same thing E46 FTW. I’ve had e36, e46, e92, f82. G series wouldn’t touch. E30 would be close second. My older brother had one. E36 was a bit underpowered unless you had a euro version (which one just sold for $240k at auction). The e46 was well balanced and had the perfect amount of power and torque for its weight.

after that things got heavy. The e92 needed suspension mods to get it right where out the box the e46 was literally perfect. Put over 100k miles on mine in 5 years. I was 19. Nothing else to do back than but drive and find chicks. 🤷🏽‍♂️

this was taken 21 years ago. Phoenix yellow for me and Laguna seca for bro. AC schnitzer CF lip, diffuser and silver carbon fiber interior, short shifter, gear ****, pedals and carpets. Ac schnitzer roll cage, sway bars, exhaust, strut tower, springs and wheels. The works

Car was ahead of it time. Regret selling. 🫤

I know I know handicap spot. It was 4am in an empty parking lot.

What are your thoughts on the F82? I have an E93 convertible, and I love the drivetrain and steering feel, but the car understeers too much with the top down, so I'm thinking of replacing it with either an E92 or F82.

my f series was also convertible. You could feel the chassis flex with the top down. I would switch with a friend for weeks at a time. He had a coupe. Never liked the steering or turbo lag. I think I’m just a sucker for NA.

The first ride I had in my 991.2 gt3 as a passenger (salesman pulled it out of the lot) I realized how much I had missed that NA power delivery.

That e93 is great open top car for cruising. I’d hold on to it unless you change for a E coupe.

mid to late 90’s M was top dawg for me and everyone around me. They just don’t do it for me anymore. At some point in the near future I will be adding an e46 M3 to the garage.

No, unavailability of allocations and crazy ADMs are compelling Porschephiles to look at other brands.

My bad. We got sidetracked talking NA drivers cars. About driving dynamics and a little bit of nostalgia kicked in. You’re right let’s get back on topic on what’s important about cars. The value.

seeing as you flipped your gt4 any plans to “flip” your carrera t? Maybe flip that into a gt3 one day there flipper? Hmm?

I’m one of those. Definitely looking at other brands. Kind of soured on Porsche actually.

Loved mine. One of my favorite cars I’ve owned. Still turns heads when I see one.

When the e46 M3 CSL was announced, wanted one more then any Lambo or F car.
