MSRP on my TTS adjusted for inflation would be about $248k (actual MSRP was $210k), plus it has about $30k investment in upgrades (PPF, built-in radar detector, baller sound system, power mods). The $166k I paid is a very good price relative to the current market, and I like the build, so it made sense to grab it (dealer recently dropped price by $12k, and I think it would have been sold soon).
Paying tens of thousands over MSRP for a 992 GT3 is a different story - not something I’d ever do - and I can understand why people would want to wait for prices to drop. I expect that I’m now well positioned to get a 992.2 GT3 allocation at MSRP, but may go for a 992 TT or TTS (at MSRP) instead.

If you think buying this car will get you a 992 at sticker which it very well may then you’d be kidding yourself if you don’t think this is a form of adm.
plus you been saying over and over again how you’re on your dealers list for msrp. If you really thought that you wouldn’t have just spent 166k plus tax.

Bought two cars from my dealer in the past year, both at a good price. I bought them because I wanted them, not to help secure a GT allocation, but I do expect to be rewarded for my patronage by getting first non-VIP dibs for a GT allocation. If I didn’t want the cars, it could be called a form of ADM.

As I’ve said, I didn’t get in line for a GT allocation until several months ago, which was much too late to get an allocation from the recent rounds. I’m now looking at the next round of allocations, which means a car I won’t take delivery on for more than a year. Dealer hasn’t mislead me about any of this. I don’t mind waiting, I have plenty of good cars to cover all my bases.

CJ has literally said as much in multiple posts going back as far as early December, but his posts continue to be ignored by the "I'm #1 on my dealer's list for a GT car at MSRP".crowd.
I just got back from Stuttgart, one of our clients took Euro Delivery of his Dolomite GT3 and while we where doing the factory tour- watching them build cars...it was a total treat. I've been there 5 times now and it never gets old seeing those guys and gals put together our little dream cars.
To address total production and overlap etc...dealers were given the 'entire calendar year of GT allocations' already. so, anything beyond this current allocation batch is definitely a 2024 but also probably built in 2024. I have a psychopath (said lovingly) client who is waiting til 2024 because 'he really wants his car to be PTS'. Our store got a lot less than I'd hoped for, and in terms of GT3 production from our allocation of 2023's they made ~80-90% of them as 2022's or this year in 2022 vs what we are getting in 2023...that slack is not entirely getting taken up by the 3RS- but by the Dakar (2500 units WW), the GTS, the Turbo/S, and GT4RS (made on same line as 911).
if you have a car coming be grateful and if you don't- just do more trackdays with whatever you have in your garage right now.

If the 992 GT3 production cycle is over, can we finally shut down the bickering thread until the .2 is announced?
Maybe we can get 6-9 months of serious discussions from owners and how to get more fun that we should be allowed to have out of this amazing car!

It takes time.
It was obvious in 2007 (GT3RS $75K over on $127K MSRP) that markets would crash, or at least things were too expensive. The correction happened in 2008 and 2009, but we could buy at MSRP (and income producing real estate for 30c on the dollar) from 2009 through 2014.. 2010RS we’re 3 deep at dealers and available under MSRP, even a 997 4.0 was MSRP in 2012 ($188K).
I sold, and still selling again, it’s 2007 all over again, probably. But, when all fails, they take you to WWIII, so there’s that…
