good parenting/coaching! She also in TX?

I think you said she started looking 6 mo ago and rates were already ~4% with prices still peak, so it was an even better choice to wait it out

the “list on Friday, sell on Monday @ 20% over” days are over and I’m glad, I think many have regrets getting tied up into that rat race

Yup, 5 houses of 54 in my sub for sale and in 6 years never more than 1 and it was gone in a week. Now several of these house have sat for over 6 months, and a few bought other homes with the intentions of a quick sell as they priced them well above the market. Now they have weekly price drops …..chum is in the water now so shoppers are just waiting for the bottom. It’s all timing

I'm envious of your property tax rate.

Ohio has some of the worst in the US.

I moved here from LA in 2009, and just got rid of our apartment in Manhattan last May ……..it’s a double pay raise living here and I retired at 52 no regrets. 😎

As the saying goes.....you can refi your rate but you can't refi your purchase price.

unless you’re a first time buyer, you may get a better price as a buyer, but you will get less for the house you live in too

The other important issue besides price is time/ which is disappearing with every passing day for all of us…… do you have time to wait for lower prices - at some age money becomes less important than time….

Geez this thread has gotten way off topic. People were upset that there was a couple messages about G Wagon pricing, now this is a housing thread? At least the G wagon discussion was more relevant to vehicle prices.

It’s better than watching the news, and it all ties together. Watches and food will be next ……..😎
