A place to discuss all things ADM

Impatient Americans who think these cars are investments, they don't have such problems with stupid ADMs in Europe.

Well, it depends on point of view. In your case, with 8000+ posts and, I’m assuming current and probable previous Porsches, perhaps the sense of urgency and level of desire is different.
From my perspective, close to retirement and with a recent medical event which opened my eyes on the value of enjoying life, and finally looking to buy my first sports car after years of raising four kids with countless minivans (reluctantly admitted) and Suburbans, my wants are perhaps a little different.

- If you're in your sixties, even with a medical event, you probably have a lot of years left on your clock.
- Older nice Porsches can be as fun, or more fun, than the new ones, and you can buy one of those at less cost than a new one with an ADM.
- There are lots of other fun cars besides Porsches. Friend of mine recently bought a new Hyundai Elantra N for $40K, and it's a legit driver's car which I found to be more fun to drive on the road than our GT4.
- If you can wait 6-12 months to buy a new Porsche, I doubt you'll need to pay any ADM.

Many dealers will get stuck on over paying.

Needs to be filtered to used to avoid new cars at MSRP auto populating. The number has stayed between 120-130 on Autotrader for the last month or so. However, there are no 2023s yet (obviously) on the used market.

Yes agree, this was filtered with 100% used cars. A beautiful PTS speedster didn’t hit reserve highest bid 365k, and PTS easily pulled 390k a few months back. Apparently there is a Benz dealer that bought a ton of AMG 63 G-wagons and got stuck with 4M in inventory. Once was 100k plus over now 20k to MSRP. Buckle up will be a buyers market.

Agree not comparing the two, but just an example of high dollar trends where a vehicle that was 100k over MSRP. GT market coming down, just not as swift ……..but 100 plus cars sitting not good for any brands. I know several dealers that are way upside down on GT cars, they can hold or take the risk they can move above cost. Still say GT cars are hyped up and it’s herd mentality …….my neighbor has a 9114S and has a ton of cash …..sees my speedster and says man I want that new GT3. I said why out of curiosity as your 4S has never been in the rain, he laughed and said I like that wing on the back🤦🏽♂️ (I just like watching the show unfortunately seen this movie play out many times)
