A place to discuss all things ADM

i think plenty are still paying ADMs on S / GTS variants. You should probably ask in regular 992 forum though.

Race Car
People are still paying ADM on S and GTS variants, but seems to be more so in large, metro markets.

I don't understand their logic. Economy is taking a dump and things will only get worse for the car market, not to mention they are probably eating into their floor plan right now. The scary thing is, the big boys (auto nation, sonic, penske, etc) are going to start liquidating cars on floor plan at a certain point and all these guys who overpaid on going to be left with their d*cks in their hand paying out the wazoo for their floor plans with cars they cant sell for what they paid wholesale.

Not sure if this has been discussed earlier (too many posts!), but do other people also feel CA dealers in general have higher markups? I've been following (asking) prices for the past few weeks and often see some out of state dealers asking a lower price for a similarly-spec'ed car with similar MSRPs (obviously it's almost impossible to find two Porsches with the exact same spec), compared to a CA dealer, to a point where sometimes it's still cheaper to buy a car from out of state and have it shipped to CA.
Just wondering if other people feel the same way or maybe they were just some edge cases.

I have to be honest I don't know when will see these cars(or any special cars similar to the GT3) selling for MSRP or below on the regular even with a bad economy like now, maybe when they're 3-5 years old?
I think with Inflation and everything else, plus everything going electric; the days of getting discounts on 'special' cars are over for 'MOST' people.
Just my opinion.

Hard to say but 2-3 years ago, you could certainly get 991.2's at MSRP or less on the lightly owned very low miles market. Obviously not ordered or new - for the average Joe Shmo. Going forward, If things get bad - maybe - but likely the scarcity and demand will keep them propped up but not to March 2022 prices. its not far fetched and i think it will likely get there - to see a 1 year old 992 GT3 selling for MSRP next year. Obviously this is pure speculation and my crazy opinion - before all the keyboard warriors attack me.

also, flooring finance companies routinely evaluate your inventory to make sure you aren’t upside down compared to what it’s worth and can demand that you pay down the outstanding balance on a short notice to bring in line with what was contractually agreed to. There will be pain in the car biz going into next year.

He was right in April 2020 - there were no GT3's new (the 992 was a year off), there were no 2020 TTS's. The stock market was in free fall. So it wasn't hilarious at the time. Then the market took off and supply chains were disrupted and you couldnt do anything except stay home and drive - so cars took off. Now things are different. Fedex stock collapsed - people arent staying home and buying **** as much they are shifting $$ to vacations. Market is way down and rates are way up. I think prices will come down and people trying to buy GT3's at $280 and sell at $310 - those days are coming to an end.

For some reason people are obsessed with Tourings. Not sure I completely understand that dynamic. And manuals are more "popular" in the US. So a manual 992 Touring will hold a little better than a winged PDK. Which is OK by me. I have a big birthday next year and I am trying to decide what to add for my mid life crisis. I just don't like the attention of F's, L's etc, and lack of "practicality". So contemplating a 992 GT3 which I would use more often anyways. I would buy a winged one and PDK. My Turbo is staying as its pretty tricked out and flies under the radar.
