After having read the responses on this forum to the new RS after its release, I’m not expecting the a mad rush to trade in the 992 GT3 for the 992 RS. Seems like a big disappointment for those who know better than me (I’m a newbie when it comes to Porsche). Perhaps things will change when we see performance from journalists and on the Nurburgring.

Or you have to have a "relationship" with them (read buy Panameras etc. Just like you can buy a couple week old BNIB Daytona for $40K. Only way you get a $14.5K one is to spend a lot of $$ on less desirable stuff at that AD. No average joe is walking in off the street and buying a GT3 as a one off / first Porsche at MSRP. This game is far from over.
Not so much, its one less dealer doing ADM.

Porsche knows about the ADM but refuse to intercede because MSRP is the suggested retail price, dealerships are a business and their job it to make money. So if you're spending money you're a friend until you are not.

Point is that Porsche could make the dealers shoot straight, but they don't.

That thinking is a bit outdated, you just have to know which brand and model to invest in. RS cars make you money, not the other way around. Standard GT cars too albeit to a lesser extent, at the very less you can drive it for a couple years and not lose a cent when it comes time to sell, essentially driving it for free. I love the brand and dont advocate buying to flip. I am however a fan of driving the car for an extended amount of time, selling to someone who will enjoy it and profiting off of the pleasure of owning and driving such an amazing car.

RS cars make you money? If you’re a flipper in a hot market yes, but if you drive the crap out of your car and have fun I say not/nor do you care. I’ve done fine on my RS cars, but never cared about the outcome vs the drive. By the way lots get burned buying high, and yes they lose I know many of them. 2019 RS out the gate 150k over they all got nailed because in 2020 they were sub MSRP if you traded which many did. It’s all timing which is luck at times ….

flipping, investing profiting from your RS shows you to be a pimp. I love cars, Im not interested in being part of the prostitution game, makes me ill how some of you see this as "investing"

2023 will be peak gt3 affordability, like 2013 (when I got my 992.2 RS for 0.75 on the dollar.) Patience.

there was a time not too long ago where rs cars were below MSRP. 991 and 991.2.
