So, Buying a gt car without ADM and tracking it is a smart financial decision while buying it with ADM without tracking it is a not smart financial decision?

Good luck with that strategy.
It sure worked out really well today with the Dow Jones -1000 points and Nasdaq off 497.

The financial "advice" of a stranger on the internet who actually "offers" something like you did is simply PRECIOUS.
Says a guy that was a floor trader in #4 WTC for 10 years in another lifetime.
Thanks again for the laugh.

What? Huh? What happened? I was over here with variable turbine geometry. Did that Fed punk open his dizzy trap again? I'm sure the drop was after he left the stage, not before. Ahh, what a wizard he is.
Someone should strap his silly *** into the vaunted Turbo S and make him wet his panties.

Actually no as I trade in all my GT cars to my dealer since they sell them to me at MSRP.

Yes, because I don't have worry about taking a bigger loss and miles = smiles (especially track miles which have intangible value to me).

I know, I know this is for cars but this Rolex uproar is very similar to the Porsche discussion. Basically the pandemic brings out creative ways for many to make cash, and take advantage of some that allow it to occur. I just found it interesting, and I’ve said before this is just not a Porsche issue but Porsche dealers jumped in on the money grab. I do believe they will risk losing good customers when this all cools down, and they still need to sell those other soccer mom cars. Funny I got a call to buy a Cayenne GT at MSRP two weeks ago, and I was like why do I want that ….not into fast SUV’s. I’m not against ADM just will not do it, but for those that do you’re getting what you want so enjoy you can die tomorrow with lots of cash.

Same thing happened with BMWs. Whenever the latest and greatest drops, it's always some stupid "Market Adjustment" (I guess that's stealership speak for being legally buggered). I'm trust the sage advice of those among you who have done this. Currently 18 people on "the list". Hopeful but not confident.

Market drops can also be opportunities.

We can all agree that paying $125K ADM is not the smartest financial move. But neither is spending $100K on a vacation. In fact at the end of the vacation you have $0. Both get you enjoyment for $. You pay to play. There are many people in this Country that have F you money. When they decide they want something they don't want to wait 24 months for it and call every 5 days or build a relationship with someone they don't want to know etc. They just put down $125K - they know its not smart but in the grand scheme of things its OK to them. There are also the flippers that are like BTC traders that think they can buy at $100 over and sell at $135 over and make a quick $35. Some win and many don't. Then there are those that have been buying for years and can wait till their turn comes and they like driving / tracking them vs viewing them as an investment or instant gratification. People tend to criticize those that are not like them

Social media uproar got a dealer to back off the ADM on the new z06, we can only hope that someone does the same for the Porsche game if Porsche won't do it themselves

You're kidding right? One dealer may decide to change their approach but Porsche can't do anything about it in the short term. Everyone touts good guy dealers but those same dealers also sell "used" GT3's with a few hundred miles for well over sticker. Or you have to have a "relationship" with them (read buy Panameras etc. Just like you can buy a couple week old BNIB Daytona for $40K. Only way you get a $14.5K one is to spend a lot of $$ on less desirable stuff at that AD. No average joe is walking in off the street and buying a GT3 as a one off / first Porsche at MSRP. This game is far from over.

Default 992 GT3 RS ADM & Allocation Discussion

This is for those that want to post about ADM's, allocations, and value. Trying to keep this separate from the performance focus of the original GT3 RS thread.
